I don't think they expected the tribe with Jake to be the disaster tribe. They probably expected worst case he'd carry them like Jonathan carried Taku. It's just that he's not as good as they expected.

You come across an encounter or boss fight that, initially, kicks your butt pretty badly with your default team setup. However, now that you know the boss's moveset, you have to go back through your team, changing their formation, changing equipment and abilities, and upon retrying the boss, find that they are very easy. Once out of the fight, you then change all of your abilities back, as this setup was really only useful for that specific encounter.

Eh, might as well try in the hopes they keep them afloat enough to win it if Burrow comes back. The Steelers are probably winning the division at 10-7 so there's a chance if either of them can win them some games.

I don't know for Vis specifically but I firmly hold the belief that the overwhelming majority of Rachel fans (especially those on Reddit and Sucks) would revile a man who behaved exactly like her.

I think Vis used the words "visceral distain" to describe their feelings towards Vince in the last topic and that was how I felt about Rachel. Like, I actually had to stop watching the season because her behavior combined with the fact that so many fans enjoy it was infuriating me to a point where it legitimately didn't seem good for my mental health.

I didn't want to go there, but yeah, you're right that there's a huge chuck of the online fanbase that will give a woman a pass for anything but treat a man as a monster for breathing the wrong way. It's actually kind of shocking to hear BCT say they turned against Ava for making mean comments towards Rachel, but I guess attacking their idol is one of the few ways a woman can earn their ire.

And Rachel isn't even entertaining when she's not being a whiny child. The way she was acting at the beginning with her sister was the dictionary definition of "obnoxious tryhard". Like she came out there with total "R-I-Z-G-O-D baby!" energy.

Ties are so rare, especially when both teams score more than 30, that most 30+ score games are going to end up being a scorigami if they end up in a tie.

I really don't get how someone can dislike a guy because all he does is complain for an entire season and then put Rachel of all people first. Maybe she wasn't complaining here like on TAR, but you could swap Vince for Rachel in everything you ever said about Vince and that's my exact feelings on TAR Rachel. The only time she was ever more than a negative on my TV screen in three seasons of TAR was when Chris & Bret gave her karmic retribution, and even that didn't last long because I had to listen to her whine for the rest of the leg until she was finally eliminated.

Not only that, but they were calling plays like they didn't realize there was only 30 seconds left until you have to kick the field goal for the tie.

Reds are lucky they get to play the Dodgers, because they'd be stuck in the mid-afternoon otherwise.

As someone who only follows this through comments in this topic, I don't understand how this is even in doubt. It sounded like Vince blew up his game to the point where Ashley pulling a Gabler and getting a surprise win to take out the frontrunner right before the end should lock this up in her favor. Like "the next hour is just a slow walk towards a foregone conclusion" locked up. Is she really that bad that she could blow this?

Is this that meltdown Inviso was talking about after he lost the second challenge, or did he have an even bigger meltdown after that?

Just caught up. Don't really have anything to say about the Survivor premiere that hasn't already been said.

TAR premiere was the same level of mid. Maybe it would've been better if I actually knew any of these people, but the only team that really made an impression on me was Jack & Enzo, mostly from how much of a joke they were. But 13 teams is too much for an episode, and I'm glad the first boots at least got an episode dedicated to how much they suck at TAR rather than ending up like Mark & Larry where we don't even get to know them in order to keep some suspense about the result.

Another one is that Monokuma insisted that the Necronomicon (or whatever it was called) would have worked. Presumably they would've found a lookalike of one of the dead students and used the flashback light to make them believe they were that student.

I don't think that's a conflict with XVI at all. It reviewed well, is generally considered the best single player FF since X, and it underperformed sales wise (at least against Square's expectations).

FFXV literally has a boss that's just the tech demo dragon from one of the game engine contractors ported in.

And yes, MGSV has a lot on the cutting room floor, but FFXV is ACTUALLY unfinished as in the made content that was supposed to be in the game but it got cancelled after being announced and is gone forever.

I hardly count the XV DLC when that wasn't even started until after the game was released. And I blame Nomura more than anyone for screwing around for 7 years, forcing the team to scramble and just try to release something out of the mess Nomura made.

The game also becomes extremely linear in the second half (maybe last third? it's been a while) which suggests a kind of massive streamlining. right when the game feels like you're headed to a new continent it starts railroading.

And by railroading, we mean literally railroading.

If I had a nickel for every time a team blocked a field goal and returned it for a touchdown in the last two minutes this week, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
