If my duo isn't available for a tourney at some point I'd be happy to play one with you. Also good to just play 2s some time as well. I'm just happy to be able to play again.

That's terrible, I have no idea, but I've spoken to a couple devs about it so it should be fixed quickly.

Won a tournament with over 300 people in it just now. 18-0, we never dropped a game, won a bit of cash, and now I go to sleep happy. Loving the game, has great potential they just need to fix all the common sense things.

Happened to me in game 3 of top 24 of a tourney bracket on stream yesterday. The devs are aware, still stung real bad and left me quite tilted.

Has happened to me maybe like 6 or 7 times now out of 150-200 games?

On the main subreddit it looks like the devs acknowledged a bunch of the community's issues and are gonna be working on fixing them.

Hopefully they get on it fast and don't get hamstrung by corporate bureaucracy.

Took me a full day of playing but I went from not liking the new engine to loving it. Now they just need to release ranked (with decent rewards), revert the local play restrictions, and release a spectator mode and I'll be very happy.

Game goes live at 7am on Consoles, 1pm on PC.

Can't wait for tomorrow.

The scenes with the Scions the night before we board the ark are legit great. Drinking with Yshtola and Thancred, Alphinaud and Estinien having a bro moment (theyve come so far from HW ;-;)

Looking at some of what you are saying - I personally dont want to dog FF14s gameplay too hard. Its not like traditional jrpgs were ever the pinnacle of interactivity. And I generally stand by 14s combat (even if it doesnt click for me personally a lot of the time), because when you get 8 people going hard and working together on a tough boss, its awesome

And i think the story is great all around, but it was that 8 hour stretch of nonstop running from npc to npc just to watch cut scenes that killed me. So I looked it up, and EW only has like 8 dungeons in the entire game? Thats insanely low compared to some of the others. And that was my main problem here - not enough of a gameplay to story ratio. Especially considering this is a multiplayer game, the excessive storytelling just felt jarring. And about halfway through Elpis everything just started to feel like a tedious slog.

Every expansion has definitely has the same amount of dungeons.

In fact, Heavensward and Stormblood had an optional one during leveling so Shadowbringers and Endwalker could possibly have more depending on if you did those optional ones while going through the MSQ or not.

Over 80 hours in now. Been doing everything there is to do along the way. Just watched the performance at the saucer. So very cool.

Does that whole scene change based on your date? I had Aerith with me.

And then the game is like "here you go now play" and youre swimming underwater. That was ingenious. I was panicking like OH FUCK WHERE ARE THEY

Then you find the mom and shes dead and the baby is missing like OH FUCK

Frantically searching, and baby is at the bottom of the lake - but isnt moving

Then we're like "matsya take this baby while we hold off the enemy"

Matsya like "IDK MAN I HAVE ANXIETY"

Matsya running with the baby, and the baby starts to turn dark HOLY FUCK. Then matsya turns dark NOOOOOO. Then matsya starts crying.

Like god damn - i damn near became a blasphemy in real life

Like the world is ending, and the heroes are trying so hard to at least have ONE win today

And they really nailed the futility and dread of it all. Like how is anyone NOT gonna become a blasphemy at this point

But then OUT OF LEFT FIELD YA BOY ESTINIEN, he comes down out the air like ">:] dont worry the scions are here", like fuck yeah
