Surprisingly, New Empire is actually good in "we came to watch big monsters do stuff". It doesn't overly focus on the useless humans like Godzilla vs. Kong.Agreed, it was fun, as long as you go in with a clear head and understand that a movie of this type is NOT going to change your lives. It's just a dumb action movie, and they put it together in a competent manner. Speaking of New Empire, I wonder who the lunatic that chose the soundtrack and licensed music was.
