| OriginalPlain2 10/13/24 8:39:47 PM #18 | I have no experience with a french press but have boiled tons of gallons of coffee by now I use 3/4 of what the recommended size spoons of coffee and boil it on very low heat (but not the lowest) for approximately 6-12 minutes depending on how long I think it should take (along with if there is a chocolate like smell) to top it all off theres a way to make boil coffee taste like it got honey in it (I kid you not, my wife said she tasted it and it took over 10 minutes for my mother to realize I havent added honey in the coffee thermos and thought I was doing maybe a prank or something) edit: forgot about what I meant to add to the discussion. I found that maybe higher temperature makes the grounds pass easier through the strainer.
