My main issue is unions is that you have to take 20th century drug tests for marijuana. Can we get with the times, please? My other issue is that modern unions dont fight for higher wages like they did for previous generations. We get more breaks instead of more money.

Have you seen Ashoka? That has some new evil force users. One is an indifferent killer for hire that has no hate but also gives zero fucks about others. Then theres a group that I dont want to spoil but their abilities appear to be a very different set of force powers.

The Jedi Order and the Sith are both recipes for unhappiness. The Jedi Order is SO restrictive, pious, and disorganized that it turned people into Sith. The Sith were obviously bad, but the Sith from Ahsoka (the big guy with the white beard) used to be a Jedi Knight and it seems like hes beginning to see that both the Jedi and the Sith arent getting the job done. I think hes going to take his apprentice and possibly team up with Ahsoka to make a new order, independent from the Jedi Order or the Sith. Just force users who train each other and learn about their powers (what I assume the Jedi Order used to be).

I wonder what theyre going to do for the next movies. It seems like theyre pretty indecisive about which direction to go. If The Mandalorian and Grogu does well, then maybe they will try to work that show and maybe Ahsokas storyline into a trilogy. To be honest, I think that would have probably been a stronger trilogy than Episodes 7-9 (which I didnt dislike nearly as much as a lot of people here).

So I was actually surprised that (episode IX spoilers) Rey was the emperors relative. I thought for sure that she was Lukes daughter, but I guess thats what you are supposed to think.

I liked the last three movies more than I thought I would and Im looking forward to seeing them again. Im going through the entire series again. I honestly assumed that Ahsoka and Grogu would have been in the movies, but its cool getting caught up on those shows, too.

Probably not, tbh. A house would cost more than $500k after everything was said and done. Repairs are unbelievably expensive now. Like things that used to cost thousands cost tens of thousands.

From what I can gather, even if you won a free house, you would still need a very comfortable salary to actually keep the house properly kept up.

Im almost eight years sober, so one half of a beer would probably do me in. I could probably have a beer every now and then as long as I dont have liquor.

This sort of crap is causing an exodus of people from these red states. I grew up in Louisiana and left when I was 23 or 24. I went through the entire education system down there, including going to a Catholic elementary school and I had a glimpse at the state university.

The entire place operates on family connections and financial donations. The cops were relentless about marijuana and most college kids want to live somewhere where its legal to smoke. Most families dont want their kids having religion forced onto them and most people want to live somewhere that has womens rights. Therefore, blue states are being overwhelmed and the federal government isnt doing anything. If states are making life unlivable, then maybe the federal government should supersede their power.

Ive only seen a few of the Boba Fetts (Im going to finish it before season 3 of The Mandalorian), but I dont have a problem with it so far.

If you want a little more background on Baby Yoda, check out the Bad Batch. It's a cartoon but it's pretty well done. Takes place right after Revenge of the Sith. This season has been working hard to give some backstory to the Post RotJ timeline.

Andor is GOATed. Couldn't make it past the first episode of Obi-Wan.

That bugs me, too. Where I live, we have too many people per house and most garages are used as storage. The reason it irritates me is because it usually amounts to people parking on the road, which turns it into a one way street.

This happened to me once when we had one car following another (I was the passenger in the car that was following the other one). The cop pulled out behind us and then got around us to get the first car. We all pulled over and the cop told our car to leave and the first car got the ticket. Not sure if thats normal, but thats the way it went down.

I remember in maybe 2020 we had a big crackdown, shortly after the election. I was suspended/purged for who knows what, probably a six month time out.

When I got back, I saw really old accounts and ?block accounts getting banned left and right. For some reason, I always thought that I was immune from being banned because I have a somewhat old account and contributed a few reviews, but these people were here longer and contributed a lot more.

I can barely believe that I went four years without being moderated for something serious, but its really a conscious decision we make to either follow the rules or not.

The time to ban tiktok was during the pandemic. It quickly turned into lets film public service workers and humiliate them online without getting their permission! It literally made people not want to work over here and thats when they should have done away with it.

Where exactly do these streaming services think this money is coming from? Rent is through the roof, groceries and medicine get more expensive by the day, and the general public trend is to save money where you can. I also heard that they were massively butthurt that Dune 2 didnt hit $1b at theaters (it was close). They claimed that people were pirating it, but its not like it was out on streaming.

They tried to sell a Blu-ray copy of The Meg 2 at Safeway for freaking $40. I would expect to see a boom in VPN services over the next few years if they dont bring prices back down to where the public says they need to be.

Back in the day (early 2000s) LUE was basically a prototype-/b/ and did a bunch of edgy shit. It came to a head when they trolled a LiveJournal of some girl that killed herself. So the admin at the time basically gave LUE a heads up that they're closing the board and to sign up if you want to stay in.

CE's situation is different. They closed it abruptly, the userbase is way lower, and they just closed it off cuz of general politics and hornyposting. And if you're purg'd once you're out, unlike LUE which let you come back if you purg'd afaik
