PhilBuck 04/18/24 10:52:45 PM #4 | So...."I'll be gone one day, so start missing me now." That's pretty much what I got from this.
--- "Are you finished, Mr. Frodo?" "Not quite. There's room for a little more..." |
Topic | Israel/Palestina War XIV - The Big Attack on Rafah? |
PhilBuck 04/18/24 10:49:39 PM #387 | I'm reminded of what Jon Stewart said the other day: "When we carved up your land and gave you all those nice dictatorships, we expected a little better from you."
--- "Are you finished, Mr. Frodo?" "Not quite. There's room for a little more..." |
Topic | So why haven't you watched Conan O'Brien Must Go on MAX yet? |
PhilBuck 04/18/24 10:43:18 PM #2 | Cause I don't have MAX. Love Conan though.
--- "Are you finished, Mr. Frodo?" "Not quite. There's room for a little more..." |
Topic | Jon Stewart is killing it on The Daily Show. |
PhilBuck 02/13/24 10:15:20 PM #158 | Well man, 3 things about this project if it is a real thing:
--- "Are you finished, Mr. Frodo?" "Not quite. There's room for a little more..." |
Topic | Politics: Why do ppl act like insults/smears get others to vote how they want? |
PhilBuck 02/13/24 10:03:57 PM #12 | Sure. I mean have you ever noticed that 85% of political ads are attacks on the opponent, and the last 3 seconds are the candidate themselves going "I'm so-and-so, and I approve this message."
--- "Are you finished, Mr. Frodo?" "Not quite. There's room for a little more..." |
Topic | Jon Stewart is killing it on The Daily Show. |
PhilBuck 02/13/24 9:51:38 PM #153 | The way I took Stewart to mean is that Election Day is not the Super Bowl. It is not the be-all/end-all. I think his actual quote was "If your guy wins, the country is in no way saved. And if your guy loses, the country is in no way doomed." And then he went on to say the work to make the country run doesn't depend on just that one guy, but on hundreds and hundreds of hard-working scrubs going through the coal mines every single day. And after everything he's been involved in over the last nine years, I can understand why he would be so passionate about those people.
