Right, I genuinely wanted him to exceed my every expectation after he won.

But obviously he did not do that, an in fact was worse than I feared in many respects.

My beef with Train still hasn't really changed. I don't particularly care for the cast, though they are good at facilitating comedy. I also don't really like the serious parts. Evil Yoka and Pontaro are both begging to be fast forwarded whenever they're around. Going into the mechanics of the 7G incident is bad too.

And I hate any show where they're like "saving our friend/lover is more important than saving the world!" as if that friend won't be dead if they fail to save the world.
I haven't watched this week's yet but I do find myself agreeing with this more every week.

This is a show that, in the first few eps, needed (And had) a goal to keep things generally moving, but it didn't need a real plot.

Then it developed a plot, and it's much worse for it. If it was just quirky misadventures every week, it'd be so much better.

Hanebado - dropped
Tonegawa - dropped
Banana Fish - dropOh this is when we were being evicted ohhhhhhhhhh

Harukana Recieve, Planet With, Angels of Death, Chio's School Road, Cells at Work, Happy Sugar Life, Titan S3, all dropped due to stress I have to assume lol. Asobi Asobase is here but thinking back I may have stopped watching this for a while before going back to finish it.
Damn

Hanebado, Banana Fish, and Happy Sugar Life are all quite good. Definitely recommend going back for those, at the very least.

But sometimes we'll just get Little Caesars if we're in a hurry and want cheap pizza.
I'll do this for lunch especially sometimes though, because $6 for something quite filling and surprisingly tasty if you can get it fresh out of the oven. Can't beat that value from pretty much any restaurant these days.

I'll also sometimes order Dominos when I just straight up can't be assed to make anything because it's a fair bit cheaper than the local places and still tasty enough. I'm not sure they're the best chain pizza, but they're better than the local Pizza Hut and I do not have a conveniently nearby Papa John's to have a recent judgement of them.

The Elusive Samurai - a samurai kid is really good at hide-and-seek, which comes in handy when his family is slaughtered and he needs to go on the run. This is tagged comedy, which is good because if it tried to be a moody revenge story I don't think I could take it seriously. I'll definitely check this one out!
Same author as Neuro and Assassination Classroom

The manga's been on my to-do list for forever, but I've never gotten around to it. Definitely gonna be checking it out animated until people start bitching the manga's better, then switch over.

Yes. Very, very far. The anime is the first ~3 volumes, iirc. Meanwhile, my understanding is that 23 is planned to be the last climax of the series and 24 is going to be not much more than an epilogue.

I was next to these middle school-looking girls who couldn't even recognize where it was from, and this was in 2014!
I was talking about this elsewhere a week or so ago, but the rise and fall of Haruhi as a franchise is one of the more interesting things in the industry.

In 2006 (and 2007, the aftermath of its original airing), it was huge. Legit cultural phenom eon, especially in Japan. In 2008 it was starting to kinda fall by the wayside among people not reading novels. Then 2009 had the huge controversy with Endless Eight in the reairing/season 2, and interest peaked then. Disappearance came out a year later and was massively well regarded as well.

But, while there was some further content after that, the series basically disappeared off the face of the earth after ~2011 or so as far as relevance goes. And, really, there's two reasons why. First off, Aya Hirano's scandal around then kinda squished any projects that had her as a relevant role (And you can't really have Haruhi without Haruhi...) for a while. But second, and probably just as important I think, is the LN release schedule.

Volume 9 came out in 2007. Volumes 10 and 11 were released together in 2011.

Volume 12 was 2020

But, yeah. By 2013, the series was dead for all intents and purposes. A spinoff anime came out in 2015, but it got little acclaim or recognition that I recall (And was also just kinda mediocre, which really didn't help), and only really served to further drive home that the series was completely irrelevant by then.

I guess it's nice that his final play as a Cowboy won't be that play at the end of the Niners playoff game anymore.
It would be a lot better if we had another decent RB for him to be the clear #2 to.

But I am not holding NE having a putrid O-Line, QBs and WRs against him when I say he might still have enough in the tank to be usable for a year.

(And, to be double clear, I am not saying that the Cowboys have a good RB room, even with Zeke. I am, however, saying he does improve it)

Yeah, pretty much. It does help that corruption creep is basically nonexistent pre-hardmode, which means you can pretty easily quarantine what exists. Then you just gotta live with whatever crops up at the start of hardmode.

I played a Master Mode world back in December and it was very good times, but it did burn me out a bit. I've watched people play Calamity though, and it's just way too much going on for me to want to care or try it myself.

  1. Ace of the Diamond (Started in late 2013, admittedly, but the vast majority of it was 2014+)
  2. Konosuba
  3. Kaguya-sama
  4. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (Specifically Part 4)
  5. Frieren
  6. Hinamatsuri
  7. No Game No Life
  8. Haikyuu
  9. Bocchi the Rock
  10. Ping Pong
The HM shortlist (Or candidates to replace Ace if you really don't want to count it), in no real order, is Mob Psycho 100, Pandora in the Crimson Shell, Zombieland Saga, and Oshi no Ko

Frieren may be hella recency bias but I'm pretty sure that it'd be at least top 10 even if I am overrating it because of that.

Kenshin and Spice and Wolf could very easily both be on this list when their adaptation remakes conclude, too.

I think that if the board had literally any other name, it wouldn't be hit with the intersection of "This is where the politics goes" and "we're quarantining it". While I can't commit to anything at this moment beyond hoping moderation and the community becomes more positive overall. Ideally creating a more positive environment allows Fandom to invest more resources into it. Bringing back bounties for a few grand is cool, hypothetically speaking $300,000 is a lot cooler. The main problem with TX roads, especially in DFW, is that they're permanently under construction and the drivers suck (unregistered cars with fake paper plates are endemic here, sadly). And also that they're necessary to get anywhere because the public transit sucks by design.

The roads themselves are fine and of good quality relative to elsewhere though.
