anyway I've seen what I wanted to see I'll wait for the full release now

So yeah every encounter you begin in real time and can attack with X and dodge with O

but if you want to use skills then you hit Square to "throw shards" and it goes into turn based where you'll have access to arts, crafts and items

at any time during turn based battle though you can hold circle to "release shards" and go back to the real time combat

for weaker enemies it is nice to just crush them in like 2-3 seconds without having to go into a proper turn based battle

I'm still working on FF7R platinum and haven't even started Unicorn Overlord, Dragon's Dogma 2 or Stellar Blade yet

I'm not ready for new video games

so this demo is the entire prologue and first chapter

that's like 10 hours so I'll be saving that for the full release

I just want to see the gameplay a bit

The first big release from dunkey's BIGMODE game publishing company. It was included on PS++ so I went ahead and tried it out.

Animal Well is the first ever Open-Well type game that has elements of puzzle solving, platforming and horror. It has a lot of cool movement options using the items you find across the well and probably around 100 puzzles to solve to find all the collectibles and hidden items contained within. You could probably hit first set of credits without seeing the vast majority of these things as you'll only come across them by exploring every little nook and cranny and being able to decode ciphers and construct songs to play on your flute. Reaching the true ending after that is managable, but I imagine some parts people will need a bit of help with. What's beyond that though is like Fez levels of community organization to solve the final puzzles and reaching the secret ending.

The platinum only requires you to do everything to get the true ending so the stuff after that is just a bonus if you want to check it out. There's also a bunch of speedrunning bonus items to be found that I look forward to seeing at GDQ.

some might call it the 11th best game of 2019

Attention all Helldivers, acquiring this platinum is a vital step in Super-Earth's never-ending war against the invading Terminid and Automaton armies so we may continue to spread managed democracy across the galaxy.

If you have a competent group of Helldivers to complete your missions with this can be a fairly easy platinum to achieve, but alone it can be far more difficult. Outside of completing 100 missions and upgrading all ship modules to at least level 1 (and one module to max rank), there's an array of trophies for extracting with 15+ rare samples as a team or completing an Extreme Blitz in under 6 minutes or shooting off the arms of a Hulk and extracting while it's still alive. Very mission specific trophies that you'd never get normally unless you were specifically going for them.

Much like the trophies, playing by yourself isn't all that fun. Matching with randoms is fine, but the game truly shines when you're in a full team of friends and coordinating the mission objectives to protect Liberty and Democracy. Looks like the 3rd invading race, the Illuminate, will be revealed sometime this month so I'm sure I'll continue playing to see the ever continuing story. I imagine at some point all these invading forces will reach Super Earth and some huge in-game event will happen. Something much bigger than the recent wiping out of one the Terminid planets via a black hole.

I'm surprised Nintendo has yet to take the 3DS remakes of OoT and MM and HDify them on Switch

Same with the Star Fox 64 remake

When the requirement is there from the beginning it's fine. People only freaked out over Heckdiverz because they temporarily removed the requirement for the first few months then tried to add it back.

lol so since I survived my move and still leaped in the same day I think that's begun to spook some people that I'm an unkillable trophy machine and talks of a tie popping up

if the site admins and my remaining opponent were to agree to it I would absolutely take it, but I wouldn't get my hopes up for it and I will just continue to leap

I'm still approaching this as the role of the defending champion and THE FINAL BOSS and no one has been strong enough to defeat me yet
