From what I hear, it can really trigger people who don't like that different force sensitive groups might have slightly different philosophies on how the force works (the night witches apparently are at least somewhat in the forefront and their philosophy apparently sounds a bit different from Jedi and Sith).

Or rather, technically it is closer to the original inspiration of the Monkey King (up to and including the original monkey king's ability to share knowledge with others, as Goku does with Vegeta during the part where they do the double kamehameha).

But yeah, it is an interesting alternate take on the idea of going from something based on the monkey king to it being about "saiyans."

I'm kinda confused because I swear the show foreshadowed repeatedly that Jack ends up defeating Aku and going back to the past at some point once he "earned" it.

Him being 70 and still in Aku's hell future just seems to make foreshadowing random.

Maybe he did get into one of those time portals, but it just sent him further into the future? Would explain why apparently that much time passed but he looks nowhere NEAR 50 years older.

Not saying what Israel did and is still doing is right. But all Hamas needed to do was NOT poke the ornery guys with a big stockpile of American weapons that was somehow being surprisingly patient with random rocket launches up to that point. All they needed to do was just continue launching the occasional rocket or two at civilian targets like they were while celebrating the act of doing so even as almost all of them got shot down by the Iron Dome. All they had to do was just keep doing what they were doing. But no, the guys in charge just had to order their people to go launch a terror/kidnapping raid and launch significantly more rockets than usual at the guys who outgun them harder than an anteater outguns an ant.

Israel has long since worn out its "angry justification" phase on the world stage, but I can at least see why they are so angry at them.

I am pretty sure Jack is not THAT old after the time jump. Heck he probably isn't even 50 yet.

But yeah, he basically starts hanging out with a former cultist/assassin of Aku's who is his daughter or something. And she is definitely a full generation younger than he is (she was probably born within a few years of the original series ending point, when Jack himself is likely still in his early 20s, and was raised by a cult of Aku).

Sarcasm aside though, this seems to be a bigger problem with games than movies.

Because a great deal of them use the same basic game engine presets out of the box.

But make a game slightly colorful like Diablo 3 and suddenly everyone makes such a huge fuss that, well... in that case Blizzard was still cool back then so they responded by adding a secret rainbow pony level that took the colors to 11 to make a point.

There's a line between denuded and oversaturation. I want to be clear, both have their place in storytelling.

Was it new or old doom that apparently made Doom Guy literally immortal? Because that just seems dumb. And its always the first thing people bring up in any vs topic involving Doom Guy. Not The BFG, but "lol the demons had to seal him under a building because they cannot kill him" or some BS like that.

It never was. The two of them NEVER entered my mind as "rival games." Wrong times and such.

I would say Spyro stuff was SM64's rival if anything.

People's brains have different modes of medium between its centers and such based on interconnectivities and all manner of whatsit.

Some people are very non-visual in thinking, and so may be mostly thinking in sounds, sonic patterns, and even in some cases written word (the last one is at least somewhat rare). Some people are MUCH better at thinking in images than others.

Naturally, no brain can only think one way. It may have something to do with extra adjunct connections that bring in other brain lobes into the transmission/continuation of thoughts that span a certain distance or something.

But yeah, if none of your various thinking modes really interact with your visual cortex and/or memory much, you may think relatively little in terms of images, to the point where you might just imagine an outline when you think of an apple. Or even, just not think of the apple's appearance AT ALL. Perhaps instead you hear the word apple, see the word, note the color red or green, or even remember the apple by being able to imagine its taste to the point that its little different from you tasting an actual apple.

Part of the reason brains work so well as they do, somehow, is because they go with what works on the fly as they are developing. This leads to a great variety of differences in the details of our thoughts, even if as a whole many of us share the same general thoughts.
