Style-wise, it's basically classic GameFAQs with countless modern QoL updates (live topic updates, notifications, post reactions, topic tags, ability to easily see a post's replies). It was originally made as a pet project/backup/"see where this goes" sort of thing that never really took off in any big way, but there's been a zone set up specifically for CE to move into, should you all desire to. Yeah, Id wager that the vast majority of zones were intended as one-off jokes. The actual main zone, if you could call it that, is private. Regardless, though, I thought the idea was to find a place for CE, not to join some other active userbase. Thread Zone is there, it's CE's to use, its free, ad-free, and financially stable, and has all of the features of GameFAQs and countless modern conveniences. Thread Zone was essentially a LUElinks spinoff pet project, but it kind of became its own thing so when LUElinks actually finally went down, Thread Zone's owner basically cloned Thread Zone and made a new site that's the actual LL successor. I think I had some kind of mod powers on Thread Zone at some point but I barely ever used the site so I'm not sure to what extent I could potentially help with anything there. It really was that bad in the past, but it is now by and large a left-leaning website for semi-reasonable adults. "Mask off" behavior is banned on sight. I really don't have a horse in this race, I'm an outsider who doesn't lose anything if CE splinters and fizzles out, but... I really do hope for the best for y'all and I think that pushing Discord and Subreddits so hard is misguided.
