Shedinja is fine as well, but its gimmick makes it more cumbersome to use than it needs to be. Dude ended up being a dirtbag and dumber than he was at the start of the show.Agreed. This was a huge problem I had with his character as well. It's like all the development he had through seasons 3 thru 5 was just thrown out so they could revert him back to how he was during the first two seasons. May have also had to do with the scrapped dude ranch storyline in season 6. He disappears after the first season, and Francis' closest friends become Eric and Finley, but moreso Eric (who also later convinced Francis to emancipate himself and go to Alaska with him). On the topic of Eric, he was also supposed to be involved in the dropped dude ranch storyline for season 6. Francis and the ranch were supposed to be embroiled in this huge financial issue, and it would turn out that Eric was the culprit, as Eric was bitter over Francis and Piama driving past him on the road when they were all forced to leave the logging camp when it shut down. Actually, Malcolm's whole circle of friends from middle school eventually faded away despite all going to the same high school, with only Stevie sticking around until the end. As for Caroline, the first teacher, originally, after her students' prank caused her to prematurely give birth in the school parking lot, she was intended to return, but much more bitter and hostile. it always bothered me that Nappa and Raditiz never got a chance for redemption.To be fair, the only reason Vegeta even got redeemed is because fans liked him enough for Toriyama to keep him around.
