My mom told me that she had a dream about something terrible happening to her father, my grandfather, and wanted to see him right away. But he was back in our home country, and she couldn't travel back at the time, couldn't even call either. Then he died, before she could ever talk with him again. This all happened before I was born, and I never got to see my grandfather.

I don't know how accurate this is to the original story, but I heard from comments and discussions about this movie that it was the Pharoah who decided the final plague: to kill all of the firstborn. Hence why, when he declared he will punish the slaves, the scene shows the mural of the slave babies being thrown to the crocodiles, and the Pharoah's son conveniently standing at the bottom.

I love Final Fantasy 9, but I have always hated box covers and movie posters like these, where the designer just gathers up the renders and photos of the main characters, and very LAZILY line them up from left to right across the picture. The picture has no story, no heart, and no effort.

They should either used an Amano picture, or did what Final Fantasy 7 did.

I have high functioning autism. Normally I don't like to be seen as different from other people, but in hindsight, it might have saved my childhood from tons of misery if more adults were aware of that about me.

As for whether or not I can see children as neurodivergent, I guess that depends on the children and how old they are, what they got, and how strong it is.

If you see flaws and errors in their proof, can you not question or nitpick it, without sounding like you never had intention to accept it?

At the risk of sounding like a sea lion, I need to ask. How do you do things like ask for proof and explanations, present a disagreement, or invite a debate, without becoming a sea lion? If they give you proof (a science article, wikipedia page, etc), but you see something that you need explained to you (something too complicated, or possibly just wrong), what do you do if you can't nitpick it or question it, or else you immediately become a sea lion?

Fun question for Final Destination fans: If you get to star in a Final Destination movie, would you rather:

a) Watch your character survive to the end of the movie?
b) Watch your character get killed in the most inventive way possible?

Yeah, definitely. If I get robbed, assaulted or threatened (which I have before), a cop friend would know what to do. And he wouldn't just merely write it in a report, don't call back, and move on, banking on the problem solving itself or not happening again.

It's great for single viewing. After I finished it, I knew that I liked it, but I also knew that I wouldn't be interested in sitting through the whole movie again.

I do occasionally rewatch the "Pale Man" scene on YouTube. Most memorable moment in the movie for me.
