Every possible feeling you have, I think I can understand. If I could physically hug you, I would. I am really struggling in life right now and I already had a pessimistic view on life before my baby passed.

Please love on your pet, the day they leave will be always be too early. I still have my baby's puffer sitting on my bedside table because his asthma was so strong, and a relatively fresh 32 pack of his favorite canned food is still down to a countdown of 26. If he was still alive he would be ecstatic to hear that he still had that rich assortment of chicken, tuna, salmon and cheese. I miss my baby....I'll never get over him.

Dirty jokes aside, it is really fucking stupid how expensive fast food is now. Before the pandemic, a coffee and an english sausage muffin from Tim Horton's was around 3.50 dollars, now I get that shit for almost 8. Fuck inflation and needless greed.

Edit: Of course, the obvious footlong once upon a time being one of the greatest bargains of the fast food industry, but now costs the metaphorical "arm and a leg" and now Subway isn't doing good as an organization.

I've personally had 5. I got my first ever desktop as a high school graduation gift from my parents (which they then regretted since I went off to college anyway, so that was essentially theirs...maybe that was their plan? lol), I got a really cheap laptop for myself during my first year of college, bought a gaming laptop after I got my first real job, built my first PC a year later, built a better one in 2018 when I had more money, and i'm still on that same PC but with upgraded parts!

3 weeks ago to this day, I had to put down my cat who rapidly deteriorated from what is believed to have been lung cancer that he hid from me for an unknown amount of time. I thought I would have been improving by now and starting to cope with him being gone, but I feel like i'm actually getting worse. I still glance at all the places he used to sit, dream about him, and shed tears every day at various points. I have so many upcoming deadlines and I need to pull myself together and focus to get work done, but it's incredibly difficult and I am not thinking healthy thoughts.

If anyone remembers my topic that I first made after he passed away, I repeat again that I am not posting this for sympathy, I desperately need to vent somewhere in a place that I feel comfortable doing so. I fucking need therapy or something, i'm not doing good at all.

I know i'm really heartbroken and this is just me being very emotional, but I really love the support in this thread. I have no one to talk to in my personal life, it was just me, my partner, and my cat. Thank you all.

Thank you guys for the comments. I'm slowly improving already, I was able to make my phone background a picture of my little boy and am able to look at my phone without bursting into tears every single time, but I just got home and became overcome with emotion looking at all the places he used to sit. This is going to be a long, painful journey.

I cannot sleep. I finally fell asleep earlier for barely an hour, had a dream of him, and woke up. That was 3 hours ago and i'm still awake. I don't know how much i've slept since Monday. It has not been a lot.

*Trigger warning for those who have lost pets that they love. I really need to vent though...*

My cat has been asthmatic for the majority of his life, among many other health issues but his asthma was always the worst of his problems. He started to struggle a bit around Christmas time but got better and nothing of note other than the usual asthma attack happened for the first quarter of the year. Out of nowhere, he had a bad spell in late April-early May that I initially believed was just his normal reactions to pollen season, but the length of his bad state resulted in me taking him to the vet. They took some x-rays of him and they found that his lungs were in terrible condition, put him on an aggressive puffer schedule to help the coughing fits, and that it might be time for me to start enjoying his company as much as I can.

Well, out of nowhere, he started deteriorating really bad last week, and I came home on Monday to find him in the corner of my living room breathing heavily through his mouth. It didn't help that it was fucking 30C+ all weekend. I of course flew out the door with him and took him to an emergency vet where they kept him for the past 2 days. I'm normally a realist, but even I was hoping by some miracle he would improve in a cool environment with oxygen, and proper medical staff to help him. Yesterday, I went to visit him and the doctor told me they took new x-rays that she wanted to show me, and pointed out how cloudy his lungs were. Lungs in x-rays are apparently supposed to be pitch black. She told me he also started bleeding through the nose and that they could only prolong his life. I cried on the spot.

I went to see him today and spent 3 hours with him. He had to wear an oxygen mask. Taking it away from him for even a few seconds would cause him to be unwell. I did everything I could to keep him comfortable and know he was loved before they euthanized him. Even after he died, I continued to hold him for a long time, my partner had to help me find the strength to let him go. My eyes hurt from crying so much and i'm crying again.

If you have a pet that you love, please give them affection for me.

I'd assume it was something stupid like, even though your team was winning, that player was mostly getting wrecked. So they decided to ruin it for the whole team. I've seen that a lot in MOBAs. Our team is winning overall, but 1 person has been feeding hard and gets tilted.

But it doesn't sound like you let the losing streak ruin your enjoyment. Sometimes it's out of your hands and you just have to put it down and come back another day.

Oh yeah, it's not a big deal after the initial down feeling of a losing streak. I played OW again tonight, had some wins and losses and most importantly, had a good time.

I stopped playing Rivals at the end of February because I knew I was just grinding to get the rank I wanted, not because I was having fun anymore. I suppose it was wishful thinking that I would either be willing to deal with immature players again, or that the community has improved (it never will, it is absolutely a false hope)

not really a piece of advice or anything since, well, you can't just choose which games vibe with you or not, more of an anecdote: I used to play a lot of league of legends. When I eventually stopped playing it, I'd kinda decided to not go back to those sorts of team-based competitive games for a while, partially because you're right it's very annoying when you get a team with a handful of trolls (or even just one!)

somewhat recently, I got into apex legends a little bit and... my team annoyance thing just sort of doesn't exist there? If you get a good team, you just have a normal good game and it's fun. if you have a bad team or a team of people who would rather insult each other instead of playing, you're done in like 2-3 minutes and then just go next

I understand and have even said very similar things to people I know at many different times in my life, but I am a total hypocrite because I keep coming back.

Yep! I am finishing up a work thing then I am going to play some Triangle Strategy.

I played 4 games of competitive Marvel Rivals on Saturday night for the first time since (painfully) grinding to Grandmaster late February just to be met with antisocial group of griefers in each game. I tried again tonight, and lost 3 games in a row due to the same type of stuff where it was completely winnable but it turns into a bunch of idiots standing in spawn and blaming one another.

I decide that going a grand total of 0-7 since my return to MR was beyond depressing, I go to Overwatch since it's apparently the best it's ever been. I lose my first game in a close fight on Colosseo. Okay, not bad at all, I don't mind losing when it's an actual competitive game. Next game, I get Ilios and we win first round, but for some fucking reason, in the next round, our Mercy swaps to Lifeweaver, and starts repeatedly trolling by refusing to heal and pulling people back until we eventually lose.

Now, I know what you're thinking, surely there's some context right? Why would the Lifeweaver start throwing if my team was winning? Why is my record in competitive a grand total of 0-9 across 2 different games in my last gaming sessions? Am I the problem in these games? I can't say for sure on the latter but I do go positive every game despite the losses, so other people can tell me i'm trash all they want. What I do know, is that there was nothing going on in chat, and to my knowledge there was nothing happening in game to warrant that Lifeweaver deciding to absolutely fuck us. If I was a streamer, I would link a video but I do not record my gameplay.

Either way, I just wanted to rant somewhere, please roast me and tell me that I deserve to lose in video games for the rest of my life.

If it's a forced open world with no rhyme or reason, I would be against it, but if it was like Village where there is a big central hub that you can explore if you want or rush through it, I would love that.

I really liked it! Game was scary, the gameplay was improved just enough to where it didn't feel like you were overpowering the enemies and James still felt inexperienced with exaggerated swings and using too much energy.

I liked that they added more to the story and its characters without ruining characterization or exaggerating things. Instead of using dialogue to show what people are thinking, you can see it in their subtle behaviors and facial cues (like showing James's recovering alcoholism without saying a word about it).

Thinking back, maybe it was a bit too long but that's only considering repeat playthroughs. First playthrough was great.

Agreed on all points. I really loved the subtle changes to Eddie's character to make him more sinister but not in a cartoon-ish way. The expansion to Angela's story was the highlight of the game for me.

It may not be the best SNES game i've ever played, but it has a very special place in my heart and I will forever love DKC2. When I was kid, I put together a very bad, flimsy shack out of my father's leftover construction material which I called my toll even though it didn't lead to anywhere, just because I saw Klubba's toll one too many times.

The game can benefit from a balance update or fanmade difficulty hack, but its a beautiful game with an amazing story, voice acting, and visuals. It was worth the full price on launch.

The fact that there are people who refuse to believe in anything spiritually because science cannot prove it to be true, but also believe that the Earth is flat because they read some conspiracy shit online.

Compared to the previous 2 games, NG3:RE was clearly inferior and a disappointment. By itself, it was a very fun game with good flow and challenge. I loved the boss fights, music, and an actual story even it was still subpar compared to the average video game.

Surprisingly, opinion on this man is still divisive. Is he good to you? Is he a hack? Is he an inspirational man? Is he a progenitor of "rage bait"? Do you like his stuff but admit his stuff is corny? Do you hate him but respect his stuff?

It has phenomenal gameplay. As someone whos been waiting for a new Ninja Gaiden for over a decade, Stellar Blade is a great experience. Aside from the fan service that people gets overly fixated on when discussing this game, the graphics are incredible.
