5-3 is one of them. Start of the level, I believe it takes you to area 7. I used to get so mad as a kid if Id play that level and forget to pick Luigi at the start.

Peach can reach this as well. There's a bob-omb that runs at you from the right, you can super jump off of it to get to the platform

I should submit a shortcut for 1-2 to the site... You can bypass the cave as every character, not just Luigi. There's a trick to make the magic carpet speed up that I've never seen posted anywhere, I just haven't bothered to record and post it >_> (mainly because it's not as fast as using Toad while carrying a Pidgit)

I loved it and the soundtrack for it. I remember seeing it announced in Nintendo Power and then getting out a piece of paper so I could write up all of the possible ability combinations so I could see just how many different powers there were.

I set it up when it came out but didn't really get the point of it, and you had to pay for cosmetics and furniture too or something, right? Had zero interest in it

Linux isn't newbie friendly and the vast array of distros can be off putting to the average person. Apple systems are in their own ecosystem and are expensive themselves. Sadly a lot of people are going to be left on an unsupported OS and put at risk to security exploits.

Well, if more people try Linux, then it can become a bit more obvious what the pain points are with newbies and those can be worked out, but if everyone always shies away from it there's not necessarily a reason to improve it. Having switched to Linux from Win 7 last year, I am absolutely loving it.

Then Xillia 2 forever reshaped how I played Tales of games with its stupid debt system. IIRC it was also just too easy to get end-game gear as well, but it did have Muzet so there was that.

The AI in this Blissey Ex event is next level stupid, it used a Leaf to retreat Pichu, which has no retreat cost, it used the one Trainer that pulls a card with damage back into its hand to pull its last remaining card into its hand thus causing it to lose, keeps using Will(?) to guarantee a heads flip when it doesn't even have an ability that requires flipping coin, and so on and so forth. There's also the fact that the entire deck is completely shut down by Oricorio...

The benefit with oatmeal raisin cookies is that the odds are far higher that some psychopath hasn't baked them into dry crunchy oblivion like so many people do with chocolate chip cookies. A good chocolate chip cookie can beat an oatmeal raisin cookie, but the odds of getting a nasty crunchy one are just too high. So if I'm given a choice between the two in a new setting and I can only choose one, I will always choose oatmeal raisin.

Stuff's starting to break on it - center console backlight went out (haven't decided to brave fixing this yet), cruise control switch died (fixed this one), and I went on a trip down south two weeks ago and I'm guessing the heat + humidity caused my roof liner adhesive to melt a bit so it's sagging in places, but that seems to be a bit of a project to fix as well, so we'll see. I want to keep it as long as I can.

Got a tiny chip on one of my incisors eating pizza a couple of months back, didn't even feel it, just noticed that my tooth felt a little weird and checked and sure enough there was a chip. Do you have acid reflux while sleeping? That can weaken your teeth a bit.

I remember seeing Transformers Dark of the Moon in theaters with my relatives and it was the first movie I can remember checking my watch midway through to see how much was left because I was so bored, never had any desire to see another Transformers movie after that. Seeing this scene just reinforced that I made the right decision.

The movie felt like a retelling of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer that tried to address some of the complaints I remember hearing about that movie, that used new actors that could be brought into the current MCU, and felt like it was basically a sort of light origin story. I think my main disappointment was (spoiler for other MCU movies) it didn't tie in with the Thunderbolts

Mind boggling that they still don't understand why trading is absolute garbage. Who the heck has ever started a trade in all of history by saying "hey, I want to give you this, what do you want to give me?"

They have mario kart races on the actual roads?

"races" isn't the best term for them, here's how they work:

You go to one of their garages where they have the go-karts, you have to have an international driver's permit (easy to get, just pay a fee before you go to Japan), and you have to read through a guide on how to read the traffic signs. I'm sure people ignore the guides but at least the shops give them out for people who actually care. The guide explains various hand signals and dos/don'ts, so for example, when you come up to a stop light, you must all collapse down to fit two karts side-by-side and you have to be as close to the kart in front of you as you can get so you take up as little room as possible. When you're driving, you need to be in single file and you need to stay as close to the person in front of you as you can - think Nascar. Unfortunately, people are flat out terrible about obeying this rule and in my personal experience that's what causes the most problems. Obviously you're supposed to obey standard traffic rules, so if a red light is going to cut you off from the group, you're supposed to stop and then the guide will wait for you down the road in a safe spot. The guides are generally familiar with the area so this shouldn't happen unless you're lagging behind like an idiot (seriously, the people that lag behind piss me off). On paper, it shouldn't be a problem. However, when you consider the drastic spread of skill levels of people driving (they have pictures of all the F1 drivers who have driven with them over the years, then you get girls who pull out their cell phones at literally every chance they get, despite the fact that the guide is taking far better photos than they ever will), you can wind up with any level of stupidity on the road. Racing or throwing banana peels or dumb stuff like that is strictly forbidden.

I've done a Toyko tour and an Osaka tour. I'm well aware of how much they're hated, and if there was a way to make people prove their driving skill level before they'd be allowed to participate in the tour, I'd be all for it. The Osaka tour demanded far more environmental/spacial/situational awareness than Tokyo. At one point it passed through a street that was all foot and bicycle traffic, and while the pedestrians are easy to avoid, bicyclists will come up beside you from behind when you're not expecting it, and the rear-view mirrors on the karts aren't that great, so you have to be very aware. They are honestly a fun way to tour the city, but it's definitely unfortunate that they've caused the problems they have.

I do fear for the problems the irresponsible tourists are going to cause for the rest of us who do our best to get educated on etiquette and cause as little of an impact on things as we can. All I can say is if you are planning on visiting Japan but haven't, please watch videos on Youtube that explain how to behave on trains / in restaurants / tourist stops / etc first.

You literally recognize that there are crosswalks at every block and yet you still feel that deep of a need to jaywalk? A few more steps gonna kill you that much?

I don't know if all of the gacha places have them because I didn't bother with most gacha machines, but nearly all of the ones I did use had collection bins for your to put the capsules in after you removed your prizes so they could reuse them. Also, vending machines very frequently have an associated bin for you to put empty bottles in for recycling. When you do residential trash, you're supposed to divide your trash up into combustibles / non-combustibles / plastic / etc. The impression I got is that they are far more responsible with recycling/garbage than the US is.

I stopped going to the service center at my dealership after they screwed up my car twice in a row. I was driving home the one day and smelled hot brakes, so I took my car in, they supposedly fixed it and gave it back to me but it wasn't fixed, I took it back, they "fixed" it, I went to drive it and the other side was now getting hot, took it back a third time and they finally fixed it right, and then I never went there again. They screwed up my parents car as well, it's just not worth it.
