Look, I know its tiring. I have bad depression. But I also live outside of the US and get to have a different point of view because of it. Im not trapped in the toxic news cycle.

A good friend told me here after I went complaining about politics, Why dont you do something? I replied with Do what? Fight? Protest? None of it works.

My friend said, Show people there is still good in the world. You cant fight, but you can do this..

Yeah it isnt as exciting as fighting or toppling corruption, but showing people good things, doing charity work, helping people suffering, this will help foster people who will make a better future and hopefully pave a better path than we are on now.

Stop living on social media, stop watching crappy news sources, and touch grass (in a positive way, not an insult). The world isnt trash and there are good people, but certain groups make money off of getting you addicted to misery.

When you say title cards, do you mean literally just the title of the movie, or the stuff with art and title, like Rockos Modern Life ir Adventure Time?

Summer sucks here in Japan. Don't think anyone mentioned the damn Typhoons and thunderstorms. Oh, we have one today by the way.

So far its calm here.

The weather has been hard to predict this summer. Last week we had a small typhoon, but it hardly hit my area. Last time we saw a big typhoon was 2018.

I dated a lot of women here and some are just crazy, like everywhere else. The worst I had was a girl who actively had a boyfriend and said if I caught her cheating I should just ignore it. She was extremely attractive (a kimono model), so I kept talking to her long past when I should have. I also had some people randomly lose their shit over comments that other people did not. So it could be a language thing, but likely it's just a some people are very emotionally unstable thing.

The vast majority of women I met were kind and interesting. And then I passed over all of them for a Chinese woman lol.

Yeah there are all kinds of people here. I met some really nice and sweet ones (i unfortunately didnt feel a connection though, which i wish i did). Some violent ones, some who were extremely intelligent.

This isn't about her being Japanese. Ive had talks with women like these, Japanese or not. Some of them are just going through something or are genuinely not in a right state of mind after having shitty relationships in the past.

I tend to stay away from that drama. There are plenty of nice girls in the world. Find someone you vibe with more if you think she's already being overbearing despite you not even being together yet.

Yeah this is sadly what I feel. I even knew it. I just had to check, because my last Japanese ex was very similar, but she also suffered from abuse too.

Its sad, I cared. But I cant fix her. I think I need to let it go.

Been talking to a Japanese girl (im a foreigner) and it hasnt been great, but eh why not just talk as friends.

She has been a bit too open. There are red flags, like openly telling me she has a FwB (but she says he helps her, not a FwB lol whatever), tells me she has been divorced, so many guys like her, whoever she chooses will be soooo lucky. Yeah ok. Things started great, she offered lots of things, but slowly started taking them back over a short period of time when she noticed i was interested.

conversation has been drying out recently

we had a miscommunication today, where i said im tired of summer, i hope fall comes soon. She gets upset and says i dont like negative talk. In Japan, the word tired often gets misconstrued as a very negative way of saying i hate this, but i explain in English, it doesnt have a deep meaning and it just means we want to move on. She digs deeper and says it is still negative and i dont like it!. Im starting to get anxious. I ask, Are you the type of person who only needs positive words? Maybe it was harsh, but she starts blowing up at me, and projecting ideas that maybe her ex said to her? She accusaes me of being a manipulator and putting the blame on her for this. She starts saying im so tired of this and im at work and i am so tired!. I tell her to stop comparing me to her ex (she had done this in the past, and now again).

I stand up for myself and say I am allowed to say i dont like summer, i wont let you talk to me like that.

I think im gonna have to block her because this freaked me out, since it came out of nowhere for something seemingly meaningless. I apologized and said i should have dropped it, and if there was a way to help her in the future in these situations, but no reply yet. Mostly just an offer of peace, so i can have peace of mind too.

TLDR: Some woman i was talking to, blew up at me for saying i dont like summer. Possibly a language barrier problem. After i tried to clear it up, she got more upset and accused me of manipulating her, and i feel am on edge now.

im also gonna guess most game movies arent accurate, because the games kind of had weak stories not suitable for film. So they need to be changed, yet they get changed by people who dont play the games, and thats why you end up with RE

Yeah no. Its full of paid ads in disguise as reviews, and people leaving negative reviews for everything because it arrived late in the mail or they broke it by doing something ridiculous.

Eh, I've seen multiple people say that you end up pretty stuffed. The dishes look like that, but you end up eating like twenty or thirty of them.

20 or 30 items at an expensive place? Nah. I think they imply that it is rich enough or nutritious enough to satisfy.

It starts off great but I felt it got tired and samey as it went on. Id still recommend it though, it is the best sitcom since Office and Parks and Recs, imo.
