Those dampeners are useful on hard. The sidequests are pretty fun too even if most of them are fetch quest they usually result in unique scenario or battles which are also quite difficult

Combat wise at least. If you play on hard, you really need to engage with all the systems and mechanics. I just beat hydra and few other sidequests bosses, which i can get my ass kicked if i dont have the right demons with the right skills

Yeah I can't lie I got a little boost to muh confidence there. I feel old now, lol.

Also I just want to share that I fucked around, found out and got game over'd by some of the first slimes you fight when you start the game.

I picked hard to start off since I played many a jrpg and ain't scared, so lets see if I'll regret my decision.

Def isnt as bad as i thought it would be. Reminded me of kingdoms of amalur, which has good combat but lacking enemy variety and boring quests

It Took my wife 6 months to land a new job.

Surprisingly aged pretty well.

-Graphics and environments aged very well. In the age of ray tracing and advanced global illumination, pre-baked lighting still can do some heavy lifting (i use mods to fix the shitty lights)

-facial animation did not. I dont have much problems with it, but man they are pretty uncanny and wooden.

-writing holds up most of the time, there are still some awkwardness sometimes both in dialogue and line delivery but they mostly hold up.

What i am most excited with this playtrough is i finally get to play the games with all these DLCs, as i played the vanilla ver. Of mass effect

It was already meh when s1 airs (anime only). Barely any worldbuilding, and while it had interesting characters, they really fell off.

Honestly it plays like ultima but with mouse control and context sensitive buttons because the old ultima you need every keys on your keyboard and it was dang annoying to play despite i mostly liking the game

I thought the first nexomon was kinda boring and super derivative, but nexomon: extinction is more fun.

Thd gameplay in extinction is still simple, there is no dual type, but the story and writing is absolute banger. It broke free from pokemon narrative structure to more of a regular jrpg narrative and the best thing about it is they managed to write multiple hilarious 4th wall breaking dialogues while focusing seriously on its narrative and worldbuilding and made me invested.

I have 3 and they're all kinda passed down from my mom. The smallest one is probably as old as me. It's used to crush dried spices or nuts into fine powder. The largest, flat oje is one is used to grind spices chillies, and other aromatic it's the grinding motion that gives chili condiments unique texture you wont get from food processor. The medium one is rarely use but it serves the same function as the first if you need larger volume

I use it a lot for asian food

In some cuisine manually crushing herbs and spices with mortar are superior than food processor or mixer because you can get to a certain textures.

the quantity is there, the quality is...hit and miss. if your unsure about it id maybe wait for a decent sale or get the first one on heavy discount and see if you like what its selling since its basically the same game (for better or worse) with a new coat of paint and some tweaks.

It depend on what you are looking. There are a lot of misconception with this game.

If you are looking for super narrative heavy, complicated plot twist and character drama, this aint it.

There are tons of character but they are underutilized, but not nonexistent. The characterization most of the time came from sidequests. So for example you are introduced to ulrika in the beginning, then she just stop being relevant. That isnt wholly true because her arc is hidden by a sidequests that players who rush through the game will miss. If you ocassionally come back to the village there is a sidequests chain that determines the fate of ulrika and the entire village, as well as tying it with the fighter maister quest. The problem is these can be super obscure and you have to go out your way to find these because there are no markers or even a prompt. Again, this is not an issue for me as i find finding it super rewarding.

As for combat yes most of the enemies are goblins and saurians, but the behavior are so dynamic. For example in tall grass, goblins will ambush you from within the grasses, on cliffs or houses some goblins will climb and start throwing rocks at you so fighting the same enemies in different terrain feels different. The same with subspecies. Fighting rock saurian and regular saurian is very different. For regular saurian you need to cut their tail for easy kill. For rock saurian you need to knock them over then ground pound their soft belly because swords will mostly bounce off their backs.

But it's true the game map is vast and if there were at least 3 more enemy types and its variants the game would be so much better.

The difficulty is also a problem because there is no hard mode and ny level 40 everything will be quite easy while drakes and dullahan are moderate challenge.

But if you are on PC, i'd argue it's worth $70 because of mods. The community is working hard for example having difficulty sliders or even mods that adds new skills like this:

That's always been my stance with things like centipedes and spiders.

They eat pests, they don't make me sick, and they largely keep to themselves. With all that, I'm fine sharing my home with them.
