Cimo being a very bricked Tenpai deck with his MD Masochist deck was pretty funny. I've been thinking that making a MD Masochist account looks kind of fun, but I know I don't have the time or patience for it.

No problem, and good luck. Don't forget there are some gems to earn in solo mode too. That True Draco deck should be decent enough to beat most of the non-loaner opponents in solo mode.

@cloudrivera Here you go. I actually have 3 deck lists for you rather than 2. First, the Tearlaments and Labrynth decks I mentioned:

They're not super budget decks, but they're cheaper builds than the decks generally use. Tear requires a few more UR's, but Lab requires more SR's, so overall I'd say it comes out to Tear being a bit more expensive. Pick one of these that you want to build, then unlock its secret pack by crafting one of the SR's that I mentioned before and start pulling. If you can't finish them before you run out of gems, dismantle every N/R/SR card you don't plan on using and use the materials you get to craft this 3rd deck instead:

This True Draco deck is extremely cheap, requiring zero UR's aside from free ones you already have. While it's not nearly as strong as the two decks I mentioned above, it can rank up decently high in ranked and (with some modifications to accommodate the event banlist) can also be used to get the gems from the currently running Extra Zero event. Use this deck until you can eventually get more gems to finish the Tear/Lab deck.

Sure thing, I'll get started on those lists for you. I do have one more question: have you bought any of the "10 master packs and a UR card" bundle deals in the shop? At the very least, you should buy the ones for Infinite Impermanence and Ash Blossom if you haven't already. The other bundles are helpful but can be saved for later when you have your decks done, but those two cards are staples that you absolutely need ASAP.

Despite the hits it got today, Tenpai is still the best deck in the format and will definitely get hit badly again in the future, so building it as your first deck without a backup plan is risky. Plus, it's pretty expensive to build, both in the UR's needed from the pack and the amount of staple UR's you'd need to craft.

A deck like Tearlaments (the pure 40-card variant, not the 60-card variant and not using another engine like Horus) or Labrynth would be a safer investment. They're both really good decks, but aren't so good that they look like they might get hit any time soon. Plus, they both have secret packs and can be cheaper to build than Tenpai. Craft Mermail Abyssleed to unlock the Tearlaments/Mermail secret pack (and get another bonus free pull from the previous Mermail pack) and craft any of the Labrynth SR's to unlock the Labrynth secret pack.

If you want, I can try to make a "budget" Tearlaments or Labrynth decklist to get you started.

Yea, tempai is essentially a going 2nd OTK deck that plays a crap ton of board breakers, can pop off from a dozen one card combo starters, their field spell shuts down all interaction with them until the battle phase and they can deal potentially up to 35k damage.

Also they can play during the battle step also which shuts down a ton of player interaction in and of itself.

Countering them though. Isnt easy. Your top priority is negating either their field spell, paidra, or Kamen. And or negating chundra.

Of course thats under the assumption they didnt open droplet, along with lightning storm/raigeki along with one or two of the above cards. Tenpai cards. If so then you very likely just lose.
