I haven't seen the movie, so I can't really judge. But there's a scene in the trailer that takes me right out of it. Where Lex is walking through an area with drones and stuff flying around him and one blows up literally right in his faces and he has 0 reaction to any of it.

I don't know if it's just me, but I haven't ran into a single fire deck once since the new sets released. I've ran into every other typing at least a couple times, but never fire.

It's weird too because I thought Infernape was supposed to be good...

Picked up the game maybe 2 weeks ago, tried playing during the pvp event and it feels like if I don't have a buttload of ex cards I may as well not even bother. So many Celebi ex decks. I tried playing with a fire deck for a little bit to try to counter, but the only "good" fire I have is Arcanine ex, but it hurts itself and takes 3 energy, so by the time I get up to that much I'm already getting destroyed by ex cards that only require 2 energy. My lightning deck does alright with Pikachu ex doing 90 damage and Raichu doing 60 + 20 to the bench, but that's usually not enough to counter the damage output of the other decks. Really looking forward to trading though, hoping it's not massively paywalled.

The fact we didn't have even an ounce of news related to it beyond its initial trailer last year suggests it's going to be a Switch 2 exclusive. Nintendo wants the Switch 2 to come out of the gate swinging for customers so there is a chance if there is a Switch version, it's cancelled for the Switch 2 version.
