None. I always traded up and always liked the new one better than the old one.

Although I will have to say I'm really glad my previous car got a new owner and don't end up on the scrapyard, because I really liked that one even though it is 20 years old now

These two statements seem wildly inconsistent.

Can you explain why they are inconsistent?

I never gave the reason why I'm against it.

In my opinion death is an easier way out than a long prison sentence.

And also why I would pick a fairly gruesome death over being locked up for the rest of my life

The one question I have while reading through all of this is why are people even talking about being 'humane' about it?

Isn't death supposed to be a punishment worse than life imprisonment?

I would honestly pick any of those options, and worse, over spending the rest of my life in a 5 square meter room.

I will add that I am against death penalty btw.

I had a motor accident about 20 years ago where I pretty much did the same thing. For me it was judo that gave me that muscle memory, but I got off with just a minor scraping on my hip and a ruined coat.

The cop that arrived first was beyond surprised I was on my feet and said I could have died judging by the speed it all went down

This comes from a guy at the helm of the company responsible for the shitfest that is Diablo 4, that will sell you premium battle passes for 10 bucks, then making it so that completing the batle pass will NOT give you enough coin to buy the next and offer skins and other cosmetinct for 20+ bucks.

Nowadays it's just 1 festival a year for me (raves aren't really a thing anymore in my country and the ones that do still exist start at around 6pm end at 3am at the latest due to laws, whereas before those laws they tended to be from 10pm to 6-8 am) and the odd meet up at a bar every once in a while, but not something that's a habit

I think you might be underestimating the difficulty and cost of these things, but yes, probably you could help more than 3 people a year.
Don't get me wrong, I'm well aware that's probably an almost impossible task that can not be completed in my lifetime, or the lifetime of my great grandchilderen.

Doesn';t take away from the fact that if nobody ever tries it, it will never happen.

Not much? How much money do you think 500k is?

You could definitely save more lives in general, but everybody on the planet? Not quite.

These are also lives that could be saved by many many other people, and the senzu beans are basically able to save lives that cant be saved. Plus, personally Id only be using most of them for other people. The value to myself is worth so much more than the money.

Well, yeah, throwing 500k a year at various charities/medical research things is a drop in an ocean, sure.

But, what if that 500k could partially be invested into something that tuirns it into more than 500k and use the rest to fund or set up an organisation that works on actual solutions for existing problems instead of fighting the sypthoms of said problems?

Not saying i have all the solutions, because I don't, but I'd rather try to help create a better world for all than saving what, 200 people from bad things while billions continue to suffer without hope of improvement

Quite an interesting topic this one.

I see a lot of people choosing the beans to be able to help their loved ones.
While this is at its core a noble approach, 3 senzu beans a year means saving 3 people a year.

Think about what could be done with 500k a year to make the lives of EVERYBODY on the planet better when invested properly

what? no way. unbelievable. Was there any way to defend that firing though? Heard that like mcd's work is much harder than walmart stuff and they even pay less. No wonder they can't find workers.
You wouldn't believe how hard they screw over their employees.

Yes, it's hard work, especially working the kitchen, even moreso in summer when temperatures in there can get up to 45 degrees Celsius and they do everything in their power to keep you at minimum wage.

My reason for quitting was just that; even for basic workers, they have different paygrades and ranks. When I stared working full time, they, by their own rules, had no choice but to give me a 10% (or something along those lines) raise, but, the catch is, at least back then, they don't send or give you your pay slip, you have to actually ask the manager for it.

Me being naive me at the time, thought it was ok untill I started calculating what I should have earned and comparing that to the money that they put in my bank account. The next day I asked for my pay slips and found out they NEVER gave me the raise I was fully entitled to.

Let's just say I waited until the dinner rush and made a scene big enough for everybody inside to hear it before changing into my normal clothes, dumping my uniform at the front door and walking out

What I mean is not act like you know stuff when you really don't and just listen to the discussions, trying to learn and be able to apply that in the future. It also helps with you not getting in over your head.

I mean, sure, there are times when I feel a bit behind, especially in MT meetings where I'm the only one who doesn't at least have a college degree, when that happens, I tend to just listen and focus on what I can learn from the back and forth between collegues instead of trying to prove myself by potentially saying stupid shit
