Worst thing imo is that it just writes Date out of the game for some ridiculous reason, which completely ruins the ending of AI1.

Big plot twist is also terrible because its meant to trick the player and doesnt actually affect the story and characters at all.

I think the original purpose works well too - there were TV commercials of people beating it up to stop it throwing trash around. But adjust the design a little and you can also promote a cuter version that kids like.

Vtubers for me are in this weird place between "fictional character" and "actually real person." I think I hew closer to "real person," while the fandoms tend to treat them the same as they would any fictional character, and it's been like a decade and I still haven't figured out a way to process this.

I guess it really depends on how much the person behind it leans into that fictional character. It is difficult to keep the act up for a long time though, usually they let out their real personalities and hobbies and that would become part of the character as well.

For all its problems, American hegemony is keeping global trade going and the world relatively at peace. If that goes away, I feel its going to hit everyone economically (like much harder than supply issues during Covid) even if their country isnt involved in a war.

Trump likes to talk about strength but in the end this is just going to weaken American influence abroad and make everyone worse off. Well maybe except the rulers of places like Russia and North Korea.

Looking at this as a non-American - Trump getting elected is so bad for the rest of the world. Ukraine is fucked. NATO is kinda fucked. American isolationism allowing Russia or dictatorships to do whatever they want. Also have probably more inflation when he slaps a bunch of nonsensical tariffs everywhere.
