Frankly there won't be another global hegemony.

We're looking at hitting 3.0C degrees of warming by 2050 based on current data and trajectories (civilization ceases to exist at around 2.6C of warming, and starts struggling at 2.0C.)

We're headed for a decade or two where the world is unstable with multiple blocs attempting to maintain power over the world order before a very rapid and very large collapse of civilization, and with it any capacity for a global hegemony.

The US absolutely deserves to lose it though. The US is the reason we're all dead people walking. The US and their fossil fuel mega corporations.

China won't get it, but frankly considering they're doing more to avert the complete extinction of the species than the US is (because at least they seem to understand there's no point ruling to leave a legacy if the world ceases to exist) they deserve it more than the US does.

Its because they are at least thinking of the future of the entire nation, while the US only considers the future of a couple of elderly billionaires that will be gone by 2050

You have just never gotten over your anger at me criticising Hillary Clinton literal years ago now. China is not a good country. But they are the lesser evil compared to Trump's America. I would take Biden or Obama's America's over China. Maybe even first term Trump. But the current Trump administration is far eviller than China could ever hope to be.

I'm not saying China is flawless. I know it's still bad for LGBT people overall. I do think morally speaking they are better than Trump's America though. I don't believe they are actively setting out to worsen the lives of 50% of the country, as Trump has admitted to wanting to do to his opponents. I don't think they're trying to get people killed by demonising vaccines. I would take a communist dictatorship over a fascist dictatorship any day if I have to choose a dictatorship. And sadly, there are no democratic world powers right now, except for maybe the EU, but they have a lot of their own issues.

I don't think China, Russia, or America are good countries, but of the three right now, China is the lesser evil. It is sad that I have to say that, but that's how much America has already degraded under Trump.

I would rather have a multipolar world than any one global hegemony

I know what the international propaganda on the subject says, but I question any western news sources on China, frankly. They've been caught lying too many times for me to trust them. Also, as a trans woman in Texas, I don't have much discrimination protection either. I'd rather live in a country where trans people aren't on the political radar than live in one where we are made the scapegoat for every issue.
