I'm not gonna spoil anything because the last 10 or so hours of the game are brilliant (at least until the last 5 or so) and should be experienced by anyone who enjoys storytelling in video games, no joke. It's among the best tales of revenge I've ever witnessed, showing how it affects the psyche of the avenger, and how easily will can be broken. It is unfortunately bogged down by a finality which goes against what every part of the story seemed to be trying to relay, but sometimes the journey is more important than how it eventually ends, especially when the ending boils down to, s***, I guess we need to have a final boss for our video game though. Berseria is next and after that there's a decent fall off in quality Vesperia hasn't aged well at all. I played it for the first time in 2021 and tapped out after 2 hours.
