coastal california, it's why so many people live there. Oregon and Seattle (were) pretty consistent temps most of the year, they didn't really have a winter. More like fall temps at the coldest most of the time.

ive never heard of a classroom phone

in the schools i went to as a kid there was a phone in the office you could ask to use. otherwise your only phone was your dumbphone. and a dumbphone is better to have an emergency than a different phone in a far away building

Im gonna push back a bit against what most are saying. I think if youre going to ban phones, they should at least still be in the same room.

I got my first phone specifically so that I could be reached if something like a family emergency happened, which did multiple times throughout school. Like, some of all are comparing a phone to a game boy lmao. Do yall not realize that these still function as phones that get calls from people?

Overwhelmingly yes. Kids by and large can't be trusted to do the right thing, which is why adults sometimes have to make those choices for them. We had teachers confiscate all phones in class when I was in high school, but it seems so much more disruptive now.

Do you not have a sport coat/blazer? You can make that work with khakis and semi formal shoes for a casual and more comfortable look than a suit. You don't even necessarily need a dress shirt.

You can get fined or arrested for ignoring a summons I believe? I might state that I'm heavily biased, but I think straight up saying you're going to ruin a trial by being belligerent is something they may also be able to punish you for.

It really helps to get social hobbies, a big part of making connections (romantic or otherwise) is just going out of your way to be around people. Some people find others through work or school, but I think connections are more meaningful when they are made over mutual interests.

Unabashedly be yourself, have fun, and don't be afraid to look dumb in the pursuit of having a good time! That's the best advice I can give man, good luck :)

I guess you can take it however you want, but I'm not bragging. I'm being honest, and I'm also saying that 30 is way too early to just give up on something that's a pretty core part of the human experience, especially if they aren't asexual.

Sex is massively overrated and it's put on a pedestal by society. The term virgin is stupid too and needs to be done away with.

I honestly disagree, man. Actually intimacy with someone you really have a connection with is impossible to beat. There's a reason it's on the hierarchy of needs. It's easy to dismiss it if you don't have it, but it doesn't change reality.

The second DLC (Indigo Disk) has exclusively 2v2 trainer battles, it's explained that it's the specialty of the school you're on exchange with. It's kind of fun tbh, I never do doubles and it really makes you rethink your teams. On top of that, the trainer teams actually seem to be built strategically with held items and trained EVs. They're actually kind of a threat.

terrible performance that hasn't been addressed at all, no story progression at all, no postgame content like a battle tower, the game doesn't feel like an adventure, nothing's left to the imagination, they hit you with a big empty sandbox where you just auto-battle until you're overleveled to hell and stomp the "gym" leaders in a random order that makes no sense. it's so strange to me how ferociously people hate on open world games, but then when game freak does an even worse job at it than anyone else, everyone eats it up because nintendo.

I enjoyed it. Great group of new pokemon, good story, good new characters, open world is pretty fun.

But the performance issues are really bad.

As for the DLCs, I found the first one to be pretty meh but the second one I enjoyed a lot.

I generally agree. Shockingly, the performance in handheld mode is better than docked, in terms of framerate drops.
The story is actually pretty cool, and was darker than I expected from a pokemon game.

The performance in the first part of the DLC (Kitakami) is completely unacceptable imo, despite the plot being fun. It's abysmal. Also, Tera Raids fucking suck to do online and you WILL get screwed out of winnable raids due to lag and missed turns due to communication issues (on your end, or on other player's end)

I'd still recommend it.
