This post feels so like... 2006. I feel like the hype around these types of events is just non-existent anymore. Nobody really treats them seriously since E3 died.
Nintendo Directs always fared a bit better because they are typically announcing things that are more immediately relevant rather than things that are potentially years in the future.

Not really. Harder drinks tend not to accompany meals as clearly as beers or wines do (though depending on how you mix them that can very easily change), but quite a few desserts or snacks pair very nicely with liquors. Bread pudding with whiskey, rum with anything fruity, pretty much anything with the right kind of chocolate... That becomes even more true when you start getting into flavoured liquors like Bailey's, kirsch, or Grand Marnier (like a 1:1 mix of Bailey's and Kahlua goes fantastically with tiramisu). That's no more "I'm drinking now" than it is to pair a glass of red wine with spaghetti and meatballs, provided you aren't drinking more than you can claim is needed to provide a complementary flavour to the food.

And while mixed drinks don't pair with meals in the traditional sense, there are still plenty of restaurants that offer them with meals. My wife and I went out for dinner last night and she had an Old Fashioned with the meal and that was it.

I go to Wikipedia a lot, but I struggle to think of any time I've used it for something meaningful. Most of the time I go there I'm reading the summary of a movie plot or something. While I do a lot of meaningless stuff with YouTube, I do also use it for useful things. I just watched a video the other day to figure out how to replace the battery in my thermostat because there was literally zero indication on how to access the batteries on the device itself.

A normal shot like tequila is around 40% ABV (on average in the US), so a shot of this stuff would be a little under half a shot of hard liquor. Using a shot size of 44ml, which is the high end of the US average, would give you the 17 shots that several people have quoted previously. So that whole bottle would be roughly equivalent to 7-8 shots of tequila.

It would depend on a number of factors like what other cards are in the river. Only thing that beats a royal flush would be four of a kind, so if there is no pair showing in the river then I should have the highest possible hand at the table.
