I've been here a year and a half and I'm still learning new things

It's shorter, simpler and even easier than TTYD but it has amazing pacing and music and the action commands are still fun to pull off. Gonna buy it today lolPaper Mario 64 and (I think) Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga are available on the Switch online virtual console thing (Mario & Luigi is for the GBA). 64 is good as well, a little dated but still holds up well. Mario & Luigi is turn-based as well with action commands but has more of a focus on dodging and countering enemy attacks. Outside of the Mario RPGs, there's Bug Fables which is inspired by Paper Mario. It doesn't quite have that "Mario polish" but it is charming in its own right and the gameplay is top-notch and very satisfying especially with the Hard Mode badges equipped. There's also the two South Park games, Stick of Truth and Fractured but Whole. If you enjoy South Park humor then you will love these games. Stick of Truth in particular plays like Paper Mario, while Fractured but Whole is closer to something like Fire Emblem. Finally I 100% think you will love Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. They are turn-based with addicting job systems, tons of content, likable characters and hilarious moments --- Delicious and vicious, while maliciously nutritious. |
