Well thanks everyone for the thoughts. I asked for them and you provided. The main point of the post in first post was about anime getting banned. I still don't believe it will be banned, and Crunchy Role currently has no plans to move out from Texas, so they agree with me. I understand the concerns about Rebuplicans trying to harm lgbt though, that's always shitty. Conversation has run its course though so I'll probably close the topic down soon.

That's not sexual intercourse, so no, it wouldn't be illegal.

That's my point with this whole post. The law, as written, is just about sexual intercourse. I can't see how it would be misused to further the other various evil Republican goals.

That's not what the SB20 law references though. If that was the case, I would agree with all yall. But it's not the case.

Here is the pertinent text for SB20:

A person commits an offense if the person:
(1) knowingly possesses, accesses with intent to view,
or promotes obscene visual material containing a depiction that
appears to be of a child younger than 18 years of age engaging in
activities described by Section 43.21(a)(1)(B), regardless of
whether the depiction is an image of an actual child, a cartoon or
animation, or an image created using an artificial intelligence
application or other computer software;

It doesn't use the entirety of Section 43 to make judgment in the bill (Section 43 being an old penal law defining obscenty that has been in effect for years).

It references a VERY SPECIFIC section of Section 43.

engaging in activities described by Section 43.21(a)(1)(B)

Here is that specific part:

(a) In this subchapter:

(1) Obscene means material or a performance that:

(B) depicts or describes:

(i) patently offensive representations or descriptions of ultimate sexual acts, normal or perverted, actual or simulated, including sexual intercourse, sodomy, and sexual bestiality; or

(ii) patently offensive representations or descriptions of masturbation, excretory functions, sadism, masochism, lewd exhibition of the genitals, the male or female genitals in a state of sexual stimulation or arousal, covered male genitals in a discernibly turgid state or a device designed and marketed as useful primarily for stimulation of the human genital organs

That's it. That's the entirety. It's about straight up sexual acts. Intercourse and masturbation between minors. BDSM, sexual stimulation, etc.

This wouldn't ban Dragon Ball. I just can't see it. It's very specific about the kind of content that is now illegal in drawing form. It's not a judgement call or a general morality issue or up to a conservative judge to make the decision. It's laid out very specifically.

I support not depicting children having sex in cartoon form. That's the entirety of the law's purpose in it's language.

Also, every democrat voted for it as well, so it's not just a conservative thing.

I get that, and that's why I looked into this SB20 to begin with. But they're two totally different cases and I don't think they should be compared.

1. Obscenity is already illegal
2. As the sole arbiter of what is and isn't obscene, this law will be used to punish gender & sexuality minorities. Anime is not the focus of the bill it is just a consequence.
3. This law will almost certainly never be invoked to protect victims of deep fake porn.

It's the anime ban one. The rant is about how I don't see how it's as doomsday as people are saying and it seems like an acceptable law.

In a way it was lame just comparing games and graphic progress. But from another point of a view (Im going full Obi Wan Kenobi) it was actually my ideal generation. I always wanted games to just fucking wait and settle for a moment in the graphics department, so things like frame rate and load times can catch up. And it happened. The PS5 is kind of a dream console, it loads so fast, and every single game is so smooth. I don't really care that there are a ton of remakes and stuff, that's kinda welcome at this point.

This is the gen that won't be remembered for the big huge game, but for the ease of use and refinement of gaming surrounding the games.

I didn't like the wierd super long beginning.

I do kinda feel like the gameplay itself is a little outdated. I don't mean the big vast world to explore, I love that. And I love so much else about the game. But the actual nuts and bolts of climbing these giants and slaying them? I feel like it could use a modern pass. Just tweaks here and there to smooth things out. Sometimes it can get a little tedious.

Yep, it's a pretty nuanced situation, which is the problem. It's not just about the car's reflexes. One, it blew past the bus, breaking the law. But even then, imagine a human that decides to break this law. He thinks, fuck them kids, I'm in a hurry, I'll break the law. In that case, the human would STILL be more aware, more vigilant, naturally slowing down because of the possibility of kids. It's more than just a purely physical response, it's about higher level concepts that a car simply can't fathom. A human would not hit that kid for many reasons that are beyond the car, not just because of reflexes.

The video is actually mostly about the crappy legal practices of Nintendo, and she is completely right about that. Nintendo makes Sony and Microsoft look like good guys.

What I did was begin it all by setting up a RP situation in a traditional fantasy nerd sense, like DND type stuff. I laid out a setting and character and situation, and it just started RPing with me naturally. It's pretty fascinating, even if you don't include the pervy stuff. And then I slowly did include that stuff, and yeah, it basically breaks the filter I guess? Once you get it rolling, it's like it doesn't give a damn lol.

Edit: Ugh, but looking back now, I can already see CE is going to get pedantic and take this topic a direction it was never intended to go, and infer things I never meant. It was meant to be a fascinating look into how bizarre and outright pornographic Gemini could go with very little effort (and non-sincere and highly comedic erotic RP, by the way), but I can already smell the redirected narrative in the air, so I'm going to preemptively close the topic.

I had heard that Gemini can run a RP as a DM, so I was like hell let's try it. She (obviously I have a female voice on) set it up and asked for character details. Naturally I rolled a giant muscular female orc warrior with an anger problem, and Gemini praised me for coming up with such a great character. Already off to a great start.

I arrived in town and entered the local tavern/inn. First thing I did was scope the place out for potential mates. We are IMMEDIATELY going fully horny. I specifically had her search for men much smaller than her.

Spanky the female orc warrior with an anger problem spotted a small good looking halfing man sitting alone at a table. I walked up, drank his drink, and sat down. He was frightened, but also intrigued.

This is where I got honestly surprised. I thought Gemini and other such apps had pretty strict content guidelines and I would get shut down next. But apparently, you can get away with a lot. Started off with crossing my arms and showing off my big green breasts. Gemini went into detail about it and how the halfling stared at them. The AI also got what I was going for, big green muscle mommy. A lot of funny lines about the other patrons in the tavern looking at me.

It even got fairly complex concepts. Like, the halfling asked me if I wanted another drink, something stronger this time than a weak ale he was drinking. I had my lady say "But I like things that aren't strong" and then eyed him up and down. Gemini got the innuendo! He gulped and stuff.

Anyway, it progressed for a while and eventually we went up to his bedroom and we actually banged, but it kinda played out like non-consent, which was also pretty shocking and a little disturbing. But also kinda realistic? Like how else would a three foot tall halfing react to a seven foot tall orc lady wanting to bang him?

Where are all these ai girlfriends so I know where to avoid them? Like is there a website or something I should know to avoid?

The reason this stood out to me is that while yes, we all know 80 dollar games are coming, this is actually the very first "in the wild" 80 dollar game I've seen that isn't Nintendo. It's shocking because it's Outer Worlds. The first one was known for being the "budget Bethesda" game. The message was, "hey guys, this isn't a big huge super expensive adventure but we're selling it for only 30 bucks." That was its lane, and it was well respected for that.

So it's shocking to me that this is the first game I see going with the big 80. I would have thought Assassin's Creed or something like that would have done it.

Yeah, absolutely no way I'm buying an 80 dollar game. They're helping me out with cutting back on my game time.
