But that matters. He fought for the south because he believed that states shouldn't be bossed around by the Federal Government. Why is that immoral?

I personally always thought the Federal government is the big hierarchy which probably explains why I'm more Democrat than anything else. Like if the state needs aid or can't handle a situation then the big guns will have to come out. I mean let's face the facts here; the North WAS progressing and the South wasn't.

He only fought for them because he was commanded and ordered to(Just like a lot of Southerners who didn't want to do anything with the war but was ordered to or be killed). He didn't care about the South's ideals. He could have fought for the North just as easily.
