Before he died, almost nobody talked about his music. It was always about his "cultural impact" from his glam image and his acting roles.

Prince was the same way. They were like the precursors to Marilyn Manson.

Seems like you're trying to downplay just how important and widely acclaimed his music is because you're not a fan of it.
The majority of his albums from the '70s are regarded as all time classics and Ziggy Stardust in particular is considered one of the greatest albums of all time. Even during his down years he always managed to stay fairly relevant. What kind of people are you talking to that focus on his acting and his image, but ignore his music?

Green Day is very boring, and most modern pop punk that I've heard is pretty boring as well. I'll take older pop punk or any other punk genre any day.

Metallica (with the exception of Kill 'Em All to some extent) is not a thrash metal band. They're heavy metal.

Like some people have said, the miniseries was terrible with the exception of Tim Curry. And that's only because watching him ham it up is awesome. So much was left out from the book and it really missed the spirit of the book. I'm surprised some people actually enjoy it.

This trailer looks really good, though. Hopefully that will be all or most of the jumpscares in the movie.

http://www.grandforksherald.com/news/4303098-woman-who-threatened-kill-all-ya-somali-americans-will-be-fired

FARGO — A white woman from Mapleton, N.D., who was recorded Tuesday, July 25, threatening a group of three Muslim women in the Walmart parking lot on 13th Avenue South, telling them to "go home" and that she would kill them, will lose her job.

"We're gonna kill all of ya. We're gonna kill every one of ya," the woman is heard saying in the video as she leans into the passenger window to confront 21-year-old Sarah Hassan, who was recording.

"I wanted everyone to see what happens to us every day," Hassan said. "I was so scared."

She was in the car with her sister, Leyla Hassan, 20, and their friend, 23-year-old Rowda Soyan. All three women live in Fargo and are originally from Somalia. They were shopping at Walmart Tuesday afternoon before going to the movie theater when they parked next to the woman.

Hensley, whose Twitter account expresses support for President Trump, commented on Facebook about the video, identifying herself and apologizing to the women.

"It was not a Christian like thing to do AT ALL and wish I could take it back, but I lost my cool and I can't. I am terribly sorry," Hensley wrote in her post. "I just wish that the whole video could be shown. And the things that were stated before she starts taping. She had parked way too close to my car and I couldn't get in, when I asked her to move she refused, I asked her again and she swore at me calling me a fat b-tch. But there are absolutely no excuses. I am in tears with regret and will take any form of punishment deemed fit."

Yeah. I argue for unborn children because I care about being right.

You got me. Call the press.

Indeed you do, as that's the whole basis of pro-life; The delusion of having a moral high ground so as to exert that your opinion and feelings are "the only right". The negative impact you have on the lives of others being of no concern of yours.

Hmm? That was sarcasm on your part you say? Oh, that's a pity, I was genuinely hoping a pro-lifer was owning up to their self-righteous hypocrisy. Maybe I'll have better luck with the next one who responds. Or maybe you'll have an epiphany, though I'm not betting on it.

Maybe one day I'll be like you and salivate at the thought of women terminating their fetuses.

Better than just itching to call women murderers because they had abortions.

http://www.tmz.com/2017/07/13/dmx-tax-evasion-indictment/

DMX and the IRS have major beef ... the feds just slapped the rapper with 14 counts of tax evasion, and he's already surrendered to law enforcement.

The U.S. Attorney's Office in NYC says DMX has concealed his income for several years and is now about $1.7 million in the red to the IRS. According to the indictment, X had cash pouring in during the early 2000s from a slew of hits. The feds even name checked "X Gon' Give It to Ya" in the docs.

They say he was avoiding using personal bank accounts, using accounts of surrogates -- including business managers -- and lived mostly on cash.

According to the docs, when DMX appeared on 'Couples Therapy' he was supposed to be paid $125,000 -- but when he got his initial check the proper taxes had been withheld ... which didn't sit well with him. The feds say he went back to producers and demanded a new check for the full amount ... which he got.

In the indictment, prosecutors say he listed his income in 2011 and 2012 as "unknown" ... when in reality he'd made $353k and $542k, respectively. In 2013, he finally did report income ... of $10k. That number was a little off, according to feds, who say he actually hauled in $250k that year.

If DMX is convicted on all 14 counts, he's looking at 44 years in federal lockup. He turned himself in Thursday evening, and will be officially indicted Friday morning before a judge.

Sounds like you think they should just get rid of the term "Mental health day" and just group it in with sick days or paid time off, which is fine, but there is a reason it exists. Judging by your replies in this topic, it looks like you have a pretty poor opinion of mental health in general. You're also taking the term too literally. Should people not be able to use sick days unless they're in bed with a thermometer in their mouth and a bag of ice on their head?

Well when republicans also want to teach kids abstinence only education and avoid talking about how sex works and how to do so safely. Yes.

What about Mom and Dad?

Mom and Dad usually have pretty poor education about sex as well. It's why less educated people tend to have more children. Also there's not always a mom or dad, or both.
