The only thing 2 really improved on is the combat. Everything else went kind of downhill.

Hoping 3 brings back some of the exploration/interaction aspects in each world.

Really, health shouldn't be an issue to anyone who is experienced with the game

And anyone who isn't experienced with the game shouldn't be hitting the mini-boss guarding the armor and Stinger so early in the game

I don't know if I could stand X's look with only partial armor for most of the game.

Maybe I'll do a run grabbing all the pieces first and then go in weapon weakness order after killing Kuwanger with the buster...don't think I've ever done that before. Would let me use Kuwanger and weaknesses on both vulnerable bosses.

In all my playthroughs I never thought to use Kuwanger's weapon on him. I've used it on Launch before, but my usual order is Penguin, Eagle, Mammoth, Chameleon, Mandrill, Armadillo, Octopus, Kuwanger.

Anyways, I consider MX, MX2, and MX4 to be the best of the X series. Played up to 6, and gave up on 7.

You're thinking predestination/set timelines/whatever the writer wants to call it.

Those are separate from time loops, as a time loop can be created in cases with and without an unchangeable timeline.

And given that practically no two uses of time travel in fiction are ever the same (even within the same fiction many times), it's entirely up to the writer on whether or not destiny can be broken, and how to do so.

Stable time loops are generally considered a good thing that you cause rather than something to be beaten.

The comic you posted does show a stable time loop, but the guy could just go back further and change his landing point. A stable time loop isn't a loop you can get stuck in, it's a stable loop that avoids a paradox.

Of course, then you'll sometimes end up with the bootstrap paradox, i.e.: why did he go back in the first place when his TV wasn't broken?

Y was usually used as the menu button, whereas they tended to move it to X for the US version.

Anyways, it's just the way things originally were and so that's how they remained. My guess is that the people who did localization for Nintendo of America felt that using B as the ok button felt more natural and thus localized most games that way.

The split in control schemes started back then and have probably remained that way out of tradition. I'm sure most older Japanese gamers would feel that X being ok and O being cancel feels just as weird to them as the reverse is to us, just because that's what they're used to.

You are missing out of you loved both of these and have only seen one other.

Never really felt the urge to watch any of the other movies.

I've enjoyed superhero movies in the past (first Spiderman trilogy, Dark Knight trilogy, earlier Batman movies, original Superman film), but just don't have any interest in the Avengers and the genre in its current form in general.

GotG is definitely an outlier for me, but I can see why the MCU is so beloved aside from that.

I've never had the passion to do more than mess around in survival mode once in a while.

There are still some communities out there that do insane legit builds in vanilla survival mode. Though, it's been a while since VideoGamesAwesome had a build challenge...

That is an insane amount of references. Many of them straight up direct copies of posters and actual places/signs.

Definitely couldn't get away with stuff like that using today's graphics; many things would have to be altered in some way to avoid copyright/trademark issues.

This...though it still lacks Wild Arms (or WA 3), and Star Ocean: The Second Story is a bit low on the list. I'd also put KHI rather than KHII.

Still, at least I can agree that most of these titles could be in a top 100 rpg list, maybe 90/100 of them. GI's only scored 75/100 in that respect, and their placing was way off with many of those titles.

I don't understand their criteria if they consider BotW an RPG, but no other Zelda game. Maybe it's the first Zelda where you can actually see enemy HP and attack ratings for weapons? I can't recall, but that ain't enough to differentiate it as the sole "RPG" of the series.

Not only that, but if BotW is an RPG, then Okami definitely is even more so. And Okami should rank in the top 20 at the very least.

It's a decent-ish list. I'd say about 75/100 of the games do deserve to be in the top 100. Definitely not in that order, but at least it got that much right.

Lack of Wild Arms, Legend of Dragoon, Breath of Fire (3), and Okami make it a subpar list though.

Hard choice. Piano would easily get you a decent 6 figure salary, and you could probably build up a bit of fame.

Singing...it takes more than just a good voice to make your career in that. Does this skill include composing songs and writing lyrics? If so, then singing. If not, then I'd rather live the life of a simple pianist than deal with record companies practically owning me.
