I love the social aspects of these games. Amazing feel and whatnot.

But the RPG elements completely kill it for me. I got to the second dungeon in this and just couldn't move on even though I really loved the links and characters.

Isn't that typical of Persona games? They're boring, bullshit dungeon crawling with good character development (and all the girls want to fuck you).

Oh and catchy JPOP with Engrish (English you cannot understand because of heavy ass accent).

The Atlantic has a lot of amazing articles, but there are idiots at every publication.

The writer for that article is James Hamblin, MD; a senior editor. Typically, news websites will have a "blog" where writers/ordinary folks can submit their thoughts, but this seems like a legitimate article, and not a blog post... However, it's all so "out there", that it seems satirical.

On August 21, the “moon” will pass between the Earth and the sun, obscuring the light of the latter. The government agency NASA says this will result in “one of nature’s most awe-inspiring sights.” The astronomers there claim to have calculated down to the minute exactly when and where this will happen, and for how long. They have reportedly known about this eclipse for years, just by virtue of some sort of complex math.

This seems extremely unlikely. I can’t even find these eclipse calculations on their website to check them for myself.

Meanwhile the scientists tell us we can’t look at it without special glasses because “looking directly at the sun is unsafe.”

That is, of course, unless we wear glasses that are on a list issued by these very same scientists. Meanwhile, corporations like Amazon are profiting from the sale of these eclipse glasses....

Hotels along the “path of totality”—a region drawn up by Obama-era NASA scientists—have been sold out for months. Some of those hotels are owned and operated by large multinational corporations. Where else do these hotels have locations? You guessed it: Washington, D.C.

In fact the entire politico-scientifico-corporate power structure is aligned behind the eclipse. This includes the mainstream media. How many news stories have you read about how the eclipse won’t happen? ...

You’d think there would be a balanced look at even considering the idea that the eclipse isn’t going to happen. It’s like no one is even thinking to question this. Where are their voices? Why does Google give so few results that say the eclipse is fake? I would start by looking at Mark Zuckerberg and Charles “Chuck” Schumer.

I am not saying the eclipse isn’t going to happen. I’m just saying there are two sides to every story.

Never had a "real" pet before (I've had a goldfish), even while growing up.

Stereotypically, this is what I know, before I delve further in my research:
Cats are assholes who don't care about anything but themselves. They are easy to take care of as they are independent. Dogs are like little babies that never grow up. They need constant attention, care, and walks to let them relieve themselves. But they return your love and care, and can be trained to do just about anything.

Damn. Find a humane society to adopt from. They have a form with some basic information to fill out, but they don't interview you (unless the dog is a "tough case") but they don't ask if you have a fenced yard or what you work.

To make sure that people who adopt them can actually afford to take care of them and aren't slackers, abusers, or idiots.

If the price was lower, I would understand this. But at this price point, and lack of privacy (seriously wtf at allowing them to come into my property whenever they desire for a YEAR!), I am about 90% ready to say "fuck it" and buy a new puppy.

Trying to adopt a Shetland Sheepdog from a Sheltie-specific rescue organization, and they want the following:
*Mandatory $750 donation at time of pick up (if "passed"),
*In-person interview with myself,
*Phone interviews with at least two other references,
*Must have a backyard with a fence,
*Must submit to random audits for one year, where they can come onto my property without my knowledge and where I must allow them inside the house if asked, and
*They have the right to take the dog back (with no refund) for whatever reason.

I am seriously saying "fuck this" and just going to a breeder and buying the damn dog. They cost around $750 anyway, and don't have all these stupid rules.
