Went to a retro store and tried to trade some Japanese Mega Drive stuff and a console. Clerk accused me of selling him bootlegs and said that EVERY Japanese game can be bought brand new for $2 in Japan. Most games I had there averaged 50 bucks and one was worth near 200.

If you don't mind replacing 4 AA batteries every couple of days, having to play in a well-lit area, and not having any color, then no, it's not bad.

You could just get a GBA SP and not have to deal with any of that.

I have a SP. I know it's the hipster in me, I like the feel of playing on the brick. Plus stuff like the Game Boy Camera, Game Genie etc fits better on an original

I just don't understand how people can keep gaining weight without having an "oh shit" moment. I started gaining weight a few years ago and as soon as I stepped on a scale one day and saw199lbs, I made damn sure I was never going to see 200 pop up. I changed my eating habits and started exercising that day. I've had ups and downs and I'm still a bit heavier than I'd like to be, but I'm certainly healthier than I was.

Is this normal? I had a girl threaten to kill herself over me and since that event I have just been terrified of new people. The second someone wants to get to know me, even just as a friend I run in the other direction. I feel like everyone is nuts and I put my walls up. Also doesn't help that I've tried to date 3 girls since then and I had a stalker, abusive gold digger and clingy girl telling me she loves me and I am the one after 1 date.

I know tumblrina's use PTSD to claim someone on Twitter upset them but this is almost 9 years ago now and I'm still terrified of new people and dating. Is it safe to say this is a type of PTSD? I've only made one legit friend in that time. Everyone else I am friends with I knew before this event.

Picking select songs instead of discovering an album. Back in the day you'd go to a music store and buy an album with no prior knowledge of the group because the cover looked interesting etc.

Also now so many are downloading illegally that it's rare to see an album even go gold when 25 years ago albums with no radio promotion went gold.

It's like people are afraid to step outside the box.

You should get the Japanese Streets of Rage 3, called Bare Knuckle over there. Which is by far and away the best version of that game.

I'm after the Bare Knuckle games. Only seen the first one locally but I took a closer look and it was a bootleg. I have Streets 2 Genesis version, tho.

I'm trying to get every Japanese Mega Drive game which is almost impossible but I just have Japanese versions of a lot of games such as Sonic, Toejam and Earl, Golden Axe, Phantasy Star, Shining Force etc. the cover art and almost every game has a full colored manual with art not found in the Genesis manuals is just amazing to look at.

Games can cost a lot more. I got about 30 games from a local store that had just been traded in and I paid 10 bucks for each, found out later some of these games are worth $150+
