That was I think the worst movie I've ever fucking seen

People in the theater clapped when it was over finally because we were free. That's how fucking bad it was.

When we were leaving I wanted to find people with tickets to the next showing and rip them up. When they complain they spent $10.50 on the ticket I would tell them that I just provided them more entertainment for their money than that movie and I protected them from having their whole night sucked away.

You realize you can leave a movie before its over right? There is no law that you must sit there and suffer through a horrible movie, shit if you walk out within the first half hour or so you can likely request a full refund.

TC probably hates Chocolate also since that also triggers a neurological reaction that makes you far happier when eating it.

Sure, but they would make more money with more production.

Think about it this way - if you knew something was always going to be available, any time of the day... it kind of diminishes your urgency to buy it, right?

I think it's an outdated policy, like waaay outdated and mostly in response to the overproduction of the early 1980's that hasn't been a threat in decades. But I can see the merit of acting in this counter-intuitive way for building brand value, on occasion. But at this point Nintendo has a pretty high established brand value (especially in comparison with how small the company really is) and they don't have to keep pulling stunts like this.

You could compare it to Amiibo the difference is they brought back the Amiibos that were vastly under-produced and that helped those get them later. Meanwhile with the NES mini they are just like hmm, lets announce this final shipment letting all the scalpers know that we will never make another one.

If anything the best way to do this type of strategy is VASTLY under-ship the first 1-2 shipments then 2-3 months later ship the fuck out of it. That way everyone overreacts to how hard it is to get in the first 1 or 2 shipments and then when the 3rd comes on like a tidal wave everyone buys it since they missed out before. Sony somewhat did this with the PS2 where the console was hard as hell to find for the first 4-6 months of its life cycle but then 1 year later or so they were readily available.

Is it like a status symbol for gamers to have one of these in their home?

Is it just to show any friends that they have this limited system?

Because for that..... I'd prefer they keep the hardware and I'd just you know.

Well if Nintendo was smart they would make more of them, showing that people are willing to pay like $150-200 for a new NES mini, and Nintendo compounds this problem by only producing the console for a short period of time.

Apparently Nintendo wants the scalpers to easily make bank on these things.

For the fun of depreciation: I bought a used BMW that was maintained and had low mileage. It was 11 years old when I got it. Original sale value was 75-80K in 2002 dollars. I got it for 8K in 2013, which was just under the blue book value. That's more than 90% value lost in a decade.

Vehicles do depreciate fast. Luxury cars even moreso.

The market for luxury cars tends mostly towards people wanting brand new ones, so they depreciate very fast.

Maybe in the city or something, but in the suburbs, getting around without a car is never fun. Public transportation can be a nightmare to deal with, especially to those who work overnight or at other uncommon times where buses (that can take up to an hour for each transfer to come) don't even run anymore.

Depends on the public transit system in that area, some places have pretty damn good public transit other places have horrible transit systems.

Looks like it does restore energy and heals physical damage. They don't heal long term damage though, so if you lose an arm for instance and then take a senzu bean 2 years later it won't grow back.

This is like saying if you have a friend blow on the dice before you throw them then they get the money you bet at the craps table.

I have no clue why a casino would rule whoever pushed the button or pulls the lever gets the money, If I put 20 bucks in a slot machine and some asshole comes over and pushes the button while I look away for a second does he win the jackpot if it comes up?
