Damn really? That good?

Yes. Way different than the open world epics like that, but its spectacular. The gothic world and level design is captivating, gameplay is amazingly satisfying, vast majority of boss fights are spectacular, lore is tremendous if you're into it, DLC is phenomenal

I kept talking myself out of it with "surely the polls wouldn't just be wrong, there's no way he could pull this off," but I was saying since the primaries that Clinton was Trump's dream opponent. He could only have thrived the way he did by feasting on someone with a ton of scandals and already low approval. It was a fairly significant portion of why I wanted Bernie; he wasn't flawless but I think Trump would've had a much harder time with his character assassination style against a dude where the worst thing they could get on him was a poorly articulated statement about white privilege.

I woke up on the morning of the election with a weird feeling he was gonna win.

Would you feel entitled to a free bang without guilt?

In that hypothetical, maybe, but I have a little self-respect. If my wife cheated, we'd be divorced.

It's a shot at climate change.

Full quote for context:

I don't believe Hurricane Harvey is God's punishment for Houston electing a lesbian mayor. But that is more credible than "climate change."

That's how silly she believes climate change is. That it is equal to saying "god's punishment to X"
As per usual, the same people on here get riled up before fully understanding the quote.

I literally explained this in the OP

Only makes it marginally less fucked up.

I honestly think it still could've worked with even one or two more episodes. Hell, even another 15-20 minutes. It was far, far too much to cram into just the final act of the final episode.

The series does a lot of heavy foreshadowing that the mother may be dead, and that monologue in one of the later seasons where he imagines himself going to her apartment and saying something like "we haven't met yet, but we're going to meet soon and I'm going to love you more than I've ever loved anything, and I always will" makes completely heartbreaking sense with the concept that the whole series is him explaining to his children how much he loved their mother while wrestling with when and if it's okay to move on.

Unfortunately, by jamming that huge plot bomb into such a brief time, it almost made the mother's death a punchline for his obsession with Robin. I 100% believe that was not the intention. If you take a step back and look at the story they clearly wanted to tell, taking the whole series into account, it's actually pretty beautiful. However, there's no excuse for how poor the execution was.

EDIT: And yeah, the part that truly infuriated me was spending the whole season on Robin/Barney's wedding and then they break up like five minutes later with Barney promptly undoing all of his character development. His ending with the baby didn't really help.

Honestly the death penalty really sits poorly with me, I do get it and I don't think this guy deserves to live, but the whole concept of waiting for your turn to die, a cold face servinhg you your favorite meal for one last bite of food before your death march, being strapped to a table and put down like a sick dog...

Some of these guys deserve no less, but it's still really horrifying conceptually.

People seem to be intentionally ignoring that his plan very likely would've worked if Bran wasn't an omniscient treebirdgod.

In the end, he was done in by a) mystical elements beyond his control and b) trying to sell the angle that Arya wanted to be Lady of Winterfell, a notion that would've rang true basically anywhere else, but not here. That's not Arya and Sansa knew it.

The very obvious symmetry is the "worst possible reason" game, but A and B above were foreshadowed by "picture everything in your mind" and "you know your sister better than anyone." I thought it was mostly pretty poetic.

I work in a public school and the argument of "students get distracted when revealing clothes are worn" is a ridiculous statement. I've seen boys try to flirt with girls wearing traditional Muslim garb (only her face wasn't covered). They're hormonal teenagers, they're going to be distracted no matter what and telling the girls that it's their fault isn't helping anything.

Exactly. I've worked in public schools as well thinking boys will only be "distracted" by girls wearing leggings or low-cut tops is just silly. Teenage boys are distracted by anything female anyway.

-Shirt required (described as fabric in front, back, and sides)
-Pants required (or equivalent like skirt, leggings, etc)
-Nipples, breasts, buttocks, genitalia must be covered
-Cleavage not required to be covered

That's basically it. Sounds like even midriff would be okay.

I'd say it's about time. High schoolers can be held accountable for their own actions. Only thing that's a little unclear is the line between "breasts covered" and "cleavage is fine," but I'm sure that can be figured out.

You agree with this or think schools should be stricter?
