In this article the person's name is Heather, they are a woman, and they are transgender. I would think that being transgender calling them a man would comply with their preference. But apparently this is taken as an insult. It was discussed in another topic that for its usage in the English language gender is agreed upon by 2 observers to identify a 3rd party. - If there are 2 observers, and one says "Look at what Heather is doing", but the other observer doesn't know who has the given name of Heather, then this does not identify the 3rd party to them. - If there are 2 observers, and one knows that a 3rd party is a woman that prefers to be called a man, but the other observer doesn't know this about the 3rd party, then saying "Look at what that man is doing" would rule out the individual to the other observer. The preference of the individual doesn't change how they are observed. If their preference is counter to outside observation then in order to call them by their preference first that preference must be made known. Others like Spiderman, X-Men, Batman had different titles for the same characters. I could never figure out how 3 different stories involving that character could take place at the same time. Lack of proof reading in your topics. Focusing on details that are irrelevant to a subject. You seem to have embraced the irrational bias of news media. From a certain perspective your topics could be satire of the news outlets. Yet at the same time you do not appear to be "in on the joke". In general you convey a lack of self awareness to be able to make any meaningful statement about the sources for your topics. Even the "talking heads" of news shows have moments where they realize they're saying something stupid, but it's their job to report it that way. The articles you post are so filled with the negative aspects of regressive journalism that, if there is any irony or commentary in your posts, any redeeming qualities are imperceptible. As for generating discussion I believe the responses fall into a narrow range of categories. 1) hating on a person in the article 2) pointing out a lack of investigative journalism that, if done, would have resulted in the story being a non-issue 3) pointing out the flaws in how you summarized the story. --- No locked doors, no windows barred.
