A story of an infant being abused often solicits the same emotional out pour as one of a dog being abused. An adult being abused will still be met with shock given the circumstances but not on the same level. Now people who say "if a dog and human were in a burning building and I can only save one I'm saving the dog they're much more loyal!"...have issues.

Then I got to school and everyone was talking about it. Pretty much every class I had put the lesson plan on hold and we just watched the news all day.
