Well said, fam. My Payzmaykr account is a legend among posters, although this account seems to have gained more notoriety over the years.

Also, kessobahn is ampelas. He's admitted as much. So we are being bothered (in our OWN) topic by two recently banned alts. I wish the mods would meet us in the middle and deal with these trolls that bother us in topics we make to keep our posts to ourselves.

I never said that I was "rich," but part time work is essentially killing time. I have risk-free (essentially) stocks that generate a decent enough amount of money to where I don't really have to do anything if I don't want to.

Exactly. It's a last resort, but when you have a child who refuses to behave, you literally have to show them, "I'm bigger than you and you *will* do as I say." I would never want to be a strict parent, but you can't have a kid that disobeys you when you say to stop blocking traffic in the store or when you say not to do something on general purpose.

It's doing them a favor in the long run. I'm almost 29 years old, and do you think I still don't show respect to my elders or to people in a work environment? Manners lead to social skills and it's no wonder these kids are glued to the Nintendo.

"Oh, the Wii is my kid's exercise and education (and babysitter when I want to go to a concert or a brewery festival)!"

Generally bad ideas are bad. The fact you ended up okay doesn't change that beating your kids is a net negative and a sign of complete instability. Something to be scorned not excused for.

I got it with a belt when I was a kid and I turned it fine. Hell, my grandpa had a real hickory stick, long and flat like a sword. I used to have a scar on my arm from that stick.

These kids today respond to adults with, "what?" and "yeah." It's yes fucking sir and yes ma'am. They'd slap the fucking taste out of your mouth for saying "what" to a teacher when I was growing up.

I don't like the idea of physical discipline (if it can be avoided), but the lack of it has made these modern kids feral. Parents are young and selfish, wanting to be social and desperately cling to their youth, while they expect the teachers to not only teach, but also raise their smart mouth little brats, somehow without ever telling them "no."

These kids are soft and they're weak. They live on the smartphone, computer, tv, etc. These kids don't know the rules to basic sports. If they get knocked down, they don't get up; they cry and blame. A whole generation of kids being raised by kids and Grand Thedt Auto.

Discipline at schools is just a joke. They literally have cops roaming some schools and the kids still fight and steal and disrespect their elders.

Come to think of it, I did play a bunch of those and liked them. Thinking back on it, I think it was more of an initial disappointment, as I wound up playing it more later.

Mine broke, though, which aggravated me. I played it to death, though. I had a lot of fun with the backwards compatibility with GameCube, since I never had one of those. I really liked a lot of the virtual console games, too. I really liked he fire emblem game.

The switch has got me interested, but with prices of new systems, I think I should do some more research and let the price drop.

Honestly

If a team intends to include gameplay but cannot because of restrictions, the finished product should be free. Especially if it's one of those 20 hour games (or some kind of shooting game).

If you get several hours of fun stuff, well after the game has been released, price it by the time added to the game.

Same thing with dlc. Sometimes it's so obvious that they make you pay extra for what is intended to be in the game. I remember maybe ten years ago, a new fighting game came out (seems like it was a Mortal Kombat game) and the classic characters were mostly locked behind a pay-wall.

Personally, I blame the people who continue to give money to these developers.

Okay, my town is nice. They have draconian rules about yard work to keep everything nice. There is one thing the town overlooks, which is homeless people soliciting money on the corner with a cardboard sign. My issue is not with them.

Ive recently begun to see these losers shlepped over, smoking cigarettes and eating subway from the local store, holding signs that say things like, "passing through, need camping gear." They're in their 20s, with nothing to do but beg and hike. No job, no societal contributions, and he worst fucking think is that they're taking a corner from somebody whose parents didn't give them a credit card and free reign of the world.

I was so angry that I considered flipping them off or something. What did it was when the guy threw his hands up to his friends, like "why doesn't anybody want to spare their change in a town where rent is absurd, so we can continue out bohemian lifestyles."

tl;dr

College age losers are begging for money to go camping, which is a blight on the town. Would I be out of line contacting the local authorities? I was thinking about just writing them a Facebook message to let them know and see whether they are okay with it.

IMO open container laws are dumb because states all have permitted levels of alcohol. The driver should be able to drink alcohol so long as they are below the limit without it being a problem. The people that aren't driving should be able to drink as much as they want because...they aren't driving.

I believe in Mississippi you used to (as in up to a few years ago) be able to drink a beer in the car as long as you were under the limit.
