There is absolutely no indication that any other variables are being taken into account. For example: - Severity of the spanking - Education of the parents - Socio-Economic status - Selection bias (bad behaved kids are prone to be spanked more than well behaved ones) - Age of parents Not saying it's wrong but this is just a correlation and the link was also tenuous at best. There might be a reverse effect going on where it simply turns out that people with bad behavior were also badly behaved as kids and therefore spanked. As for Raichi, his "ghosts" weren't real, they were created by those machines that pumped out some sort of gas. They also didn't have the power of the original villains and they didn't die as long as those machines existed. Thiis version just completely makes up the power to bring back ghosts of people who died, apparently, and they keep the original power, it's just overall dumb as hell. I'm surprised they kept hatchiyack's absurd timing weakness as well seeing as they made up everything else. --- |

It just has the right kind of difficulty where there are established sets of rules that you have to follow in order to succeed. I don't even think it's that. It's simply that dying in dark souls is punishing. Instead of being able to just try again in a matter of seconds the game forces you to look at the YOU DIED screen for a while, before making you wait for the loading, and then forces you to run to wherever it is you died with every enemy along the way having respawned, as well as dropping your souls ofc. It's punishing and therefore memorable. It's the game's biggest flaw IMO, it should never take a full minute to restart a boss fight and it happened in some fights in DS and bloodborne because of how much you had to run to get to them. --- |
