Now obviously it's hard to prove something is better music wise with a debate. However, all I need to do is prove MM9's is more popular.

It's a good theme, but there's better even in it's own game.

Well again, I know it's not a huge sample size, but since Se7en and I will be doing an analysis of Mega Man 4 and 5, I'd be more than happy to throw in MM4's soundtrack vs MM9 and see what this board thinks. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm fairly confident I'm not.

Thats just because most like those games the most. Whenever you see any rankings of MMs its almost always 2 > 3 > 9 (or maybe 5 here). Just because they are the best games overall doesnt mean they are the best for soundtracks too.

You do realize the soundtrack plays a large role in why those are people's favorites right?

When I told Se7en I thought 5's soundtrack was better than 4, I did say it was still very close. However, there is no doubt in my mind that 9's soundtrack is more liked than 4. I doubt he'd want to ask the board which they prefer between 9 and 4.

by far the most underrated MM game for music.

Well as I was saying to Se7en before, most people agree that the best three are 2, 3 and 9. Obviously this is all opinion based but those are the big 3 to most and I have to agree.

For me personally, 6, 8 and 10 are the bottom 3. That's not to say that I dislike any of their soundtracks, it's just I like the others more.

Well, I'm not paying $30 for any River City game, so I'd rather they come to Steam where I could routinely grab them for $15 or less.

Come on Pun. I'm as big of a 2D Fighter fan as you are, but let's be real now...SF2 looks old by this point.

Old isn't the same as bad. There are old games that still look good, and new games that look bad, even if from a technical standpoint the newer game is more "advanced".

I didn't say that I think SF2 looks bad. It looked great for the time and I'm not taking that away from it, I'm just saying that graphics aren't specifically a deal breaker for me in whether I like a fighting game or not.

I'm going to be discussing this with some people in my gaming community. Personally I think if you really analyze it you'll see that the fighting engine in this game isn't all it's cracked up to be. I've learned many things over the month about this game which I really wanted to get excited for.

The graphics are crap, but I can handle that. I can still go back and play the original Street Fighter 2 and have fun.
The music, so far, has been pretty weak. That one bothers me, but I might just get use to it.
The story is awful and is way too heavily emphasized. This one really bothers me given the low quality of everything else. Story in fighting games.....? I mean, it's not bad to have per say, but it shouldn't be the main focus. Fighting other players should always be the main focus in a fighting game.
The voice acting is terrible....ugh, but I'd probably only play the story mode once anyway.

All that so far I can deal with, however....I absolutely HATE the roster. I have 2 characters out of 28 I want to play, and at least 20 I know I don't want to play.

Even after all that, I was still considering giving this game a try because the actual gameplay seemed ok, and then I did some in depth analyzing of it and realized how horribly broken and new player friendly it is.

In more interesting news, apparently "Batman - Return of the Joker" ripped off Crash Man's theme for their Boss song:

I have heard a couple songs in that game that sound like Mega Man themes, but that one you posted doesn't sound like Crash Man's theme or the boss theme to me.
