My grievance was more "why is there tension here beyond Inara being hot and main characters must be attracted to one another I don't see the chemistry"

That was always my feeling on Simon/Kaylee.

It just felt like Kaylee basically went "Another young attractive person! Yay!". Which is fine, but its not some big romance, its a crush based on the fact that he is the only good option she has atm, I never felt like they had good chemistry.

For those mentioning certain people's run's with characters are there specific collection names/numbers I should look for?

I'll start looking to see which suggestions the library has in the next day or two.

For the Batman fans, any suggestions on where to start in that list? Or any that I need to read in a certain order for best effect?

I read a fair amount of Ultimate universe Spider-man back in college.

Mostly I remember him dating Kitty and body swapping with Wolverine, but I also remember it being good.

I recently realized that my local library network has a good collection of comics so I am now looking to read some. I enjoy comics but find them to expensive/difficult to really get into. I just finished Immortal Iron Fist and really enjoyed it, so now I'm trying to decide what to read next. I know there are a lot of comic readers here so I figure I will open it up to get some suggestions from you guys.

I tend to lean Marvel but am not loyal or anything. Some things I have read (and liked) are: Runaways, Astonishing X-Men, Planet Hulk, the Firefly comics, Green Lantern Rebirth, War of the Yellow Lanterns, Blackest Night, Red Son Superman, and 52.

I am mainly looking for collections like Immortal Iron Fist where I can check out one thing and get the whole story.

I have a giant list of Batman stuff to read but I have no idea where to start on that.

I expect that after this topic I will have a really good list of stuff to get.

There is a great blooper in that episode where they do the meeting Wash scene but when Wash turns around he sees that Nathan and Gina (Mal and Zoe) are wearing the same mustache.

The Jayne scene is definitely the best.

They did use the same combat system (biggest difference was Overdrives vs Perfect Mode) and save system but Third Age did not have the Sphere Grid.

You gain levels which gives you attribute points you can spend on whatever stats you want and characters gain new skills by repeatedly using the old ones. So in that sense very different from FFX.

Knuckles is clearly the best character in Sonic. He can glide, climb walls, burrow, is still super-fast and has badass knuckle spikes. He is a super cool badass, and unlike Shadow, who is clearly trying hard to be cool, Knuckles just does it naturally. You know he won’t put up with Sonic and Tails’ tomfoolery. Adding Knuckles to Sonic 3 is what made it a legendary game, and playing Sonic 2 with Knuckles made it better as well. Knuckles just makes everything better.
