I was wondering if it was partially his fault and that is likely why he pulled the original review.

As for the permadeath. I heard about it. It sounds fine to me. Like having lives in a video game again.

When a developer makes it a mechanic and part of the story I think that is cool.

I would never spend this much time on a message board back then.

I'd like to hear why it's bad.

Playing outside is not better by default. I played outside as a kid and I'm not one of those people who think I am better for it.

You think spending time on a message board is bad at face value or the amount of time? A moderation issue?

ive been using message board since i was around 10 or 11 years old (26 now). i think they're fine (for the most part).

what i have a problem with and i think is going to fuck people up in a few years is social media, because it involves your real name, people you know in real life, etc and it's redefining our social relationships and how we interact with our peers (and not necessarily in a good way IMO).

So you think anonymity has benefits or at least is a neutral effect opposed to real name social media?

That seems like a legitimate concern.

I think teachers are one of the most overpaid jobs in the U.S. relative to how poorly they perform compared to international teachers.

Actually, that might have to do with the fact that you need a master's degree to teach in some of the best-performing countries, and that the profession in those places is almost in the same tier as doctor, lawyer, etc. For some reason, teaching as a profession isn't taken as seriously in the US, so teachers underperform.

Yeah. There is a lot wrong and not all of it is teacher's fault. Most of it is not the teachers.

Good or bad?

?

I didn't start using message boards until I was around 19 years old so I can't say I grew up with online socializing. They were around but I think I took the "no talking to strangers (on the internet)" thing seriously as a child.

My question is for both groups. People who started early and those that started later in life.
If you talked with people on boards when you were young (early teens maybe pre-teen aged) do you think it helped you in some ways?
People who didn't start until later, do you think that seeking advice from online strangers could have helped you avoid embarrassment or some troubles or helped you in some way?

Besides the things I have mentioned are there other places that I should make a priority to visit?

The Coke museum for sure.
Little Five Points is a weird, albeit, fun little spot that I like going to.
Fern Bank museum.
I haven't been to the zoo in years. I'm talking 10+ years, so that's something I should do myself.
I'd say check out the Buckhead/Lenox area like Phipps Plaza but despite being nice areas, it's full of rich assholes who can't drive to save their lives.

Some back story. The original tweet is from conservative reporter who works at The Rebel. She claims that violent lefties slashed her tires and that she needs $2000 to replace them. Besides the fact that the tires look old and cracked, $2000 is way more than you would need for a standard set of 4 tires.

It starts with the user @aeb225

I scroll down for some jokes making fun of her asking people to "stand with her tire." lol. I read this Alex guy talk about how violent lefties are reacting to this with typical violent left behavior or something when someone compliments his raccoon.

The conversation turns to how he bought this raccoon as an experiment and didn't know it was sick. He named it Clair for the RE character and was going to use it to promote some business thing but it died a month late due to a lung infection or some such.

RIP Clair. ;_;
