They need to do something to weaken Dany because right now she's boring and OP, even with Dorne maybe out of the picture.

I think she is pretty balanced now. She has a ton of power but she's a bad ruler. She has a lot of alliances and advisors, but still makes bad decisions and gets them killed. Cersei has no power but rules the best. Jon has power and rules well but he only cares about white walkers. It's a pretty good triangle.

Oh, she absolutely has no idea what she's doing when it comes to ruling. The last two seasons demonstrated that in spades.

In terms of battle though, she had (or could have had):
1) The supposed toughest army in the entire world (although the unsullied have been shown to be mostly jobbers, true, this is what they were billed as)
2) Literally all the dothraki
3) Two kingdoms of Westeros, one of which happened to be the one that suffered the lightest casualties of war thus far
4) Three damn dragons, the only defense to which they currently seem to have is "well, like a crossbow but a bigger one"

Jon has what is left of the northern houses (which is like six grown men, a bunch of old guys, and an army of children) and the Vale. And he doesn't even really want to fight anyone besides the ice zombies that are coming to murder everyone.

Cersei has Jaime, the remnants of the Lannister army (which are spread very thin trying to keep things together and have even resorted to recruiting Ed Sheeran), half of the iron born (Euron is a badass, true, but they are not a significant land power and also are almost certainly plotting against her), and whoever else she can cobble up from the remnant of the armies she defeated (many of which hate her and want her dead).

It would be weird for Euron to keep her alive honestly.

BUT it would complete Theon's character arc to rescue his sister from his uncle after he NOPE'D out of there (rightfully so, tbqh) at the end of last episode.

So I'm not sure what to think about her. Could go either way.

I think it gets worse for Dany before it gets better, actually. Especially with five episodes left.

Why would they possibly kill Tyrion when they could cripple her just as much if not more by removing some ancillary characters instead? Either something goes bad at Casterly Rock (considering Grey Worm and Missandei hooked up I could see that too as his character arc is basically over now) or she loses the rest of her alliance in the form of Lady Olenna being imprisoned and Randyll Tarly uniting her former lords under him instead. Then we actually have a fight for the final couple of episodes.

If my memory serves me correctly, Stannis is stuck in the snow somewhere while everyone else in his family is at the wall, so he can't do what you're proposing.

however, post-king's landing tyrion is bad both in the books and in the show.

The show doesn't have like eight chapters of Tyrion and Penny doing nothing, so I give slight edge to show Tyrion tbqh.

Yeah, the two became vastly different after season 1 or so, but I still think this is fun for all the gripes I have about it. The books are definitely more cerebral and deliberate in all their actions, but they have their own issues.

Things the show did worse/ruined: Jaime not distancing himself from Cersei after returning, everything to do with Dorne, Northern conspiracy

Things they did better: Hound, Arya and her adventures with Tywin and the Hound, at some points cutting down some extraneous plots was actually nice as GRRM never seems to be able to edit his stuff, they actually come out on time

Also, McCain was the first politician I remember actually liking. I was in middle school when he was running against GWB, but it was the first campaign I actually had a vested interest in.

He changed a lot in recent years to the point I don't see the same political figure I was once drawn to. But he is undoubtedly an American hero with a long life of service.

There were also a handful of other blue dog democrats that made things much tougher for Obama passing what he wanted which is why we got stuck with...well, what we got stuck with. People forget the debate for the ACA took forever sometimes, and a lot of it was democrats trying to convince other democrats (and also trying to find ONE single R vote any way they could).

I didn't say anything because lots of people did before Suprak's game, but I could whip something up if somebody's willing to do votals for me while I'm at work.

I don't have any flavor in mind but if somebody wants to work with me on that tomorrow evening/Saturday that could be arranged too.

I'm definitely only running if I have somebody that can do votals for me during the day though, because I don't feel that it's right to deprive players of that.

That is a pretty good list! Except for HG/SS and I Am Bread (I didn't get the excitement over this really beyond the fact it is a big meme game that a lot of people play casually), from what I saw a lot of my list would probably be the same. I did like the Tetris block, but I get it not being on here because they do it every year and this year had probably the worst overall results from any I had seen.

The entire last three days or so were a lot of fun from what I saw, and I missed a huge chunk so it would be hard for me to give a definite list. I'm assuming a lot of the middle of the night runs missed the list simply because few people had seen them yet.

I watched the last hour of Final Fantasy VII and I thought the commentary was pretty good, though I’d imagine very few people actually watched the entire thing live.

I didn’t watch Pokemon, but for those that did, if you ignored the RNG manipulation screw-up was the run at least enjoyable?

They also made some questionable jokes.

And it was hard to ignore the manipulation; they wouldn't stop fucking talking about it.

I only heard one, but it was a "DID YOU JUST ASSUME X'S GENDER REEEEEEE" joke that has never been used in a funny context, ever. If you want to be edgy, fine, but maybe don't use the same edge 100,000 people have been using nonstop for the past five years.

It is kinda hard for me to judge overall, because any run that fails at the end isn't a good time for me (even if they explained why it happened and it wasn't gross incompetence like that Final Fantasy run a couple years back). Prior to that happening I remember feeling kinda bored most of the time, but I don't think it was a "bad" run by any means before the ending.
