IMO, the humor isn't done quite as well, but the serious parts are just as good if not better. It also suffers some from mediocre animation/music, but that's not too big a deal for a series like this.

Oh right, I also watched Your Name. It was pretty good, but it didn't really blow me away? I dunno, I was expecting more after all the hype it got. Instead it was like, the third best Shinkai I've seen, and also not as good as its cinematic contemporary A Silent Voice. Everything in the movie was pretty likable, pacing was good, scenes were cool. There weren't any really amazing emotional moments though. On the other hand, there weren't many flaws, except that the whole forgetting thing felt pretty contrived. It's always sad when something with a magical/sci-fi component does its best to erase that by the end of the show. So yeah, a good 8/10 movie. I'd be curious to hear from someone who really loved it.

The coolest thing about the Valentine's Day event is that Sojiro smooths things over so well that you actually get to keep dating all the girls. So absurd, but so awesome. Eternal greatest bro.

One of the coolest NG+ benefits is that once you initiate a link with a Confidant, you get all the bonuses you'd unlocked with that Confidant before. Early max Confidant bonuses are pretty nice!

Also the whole ending sequence of the game is pretty damn awesome. P5 great game. Not quite GotY due to stacked year, but very close! I finally started watching the second season of Magi and I don't remember any of these fucking characters (I watched the first as it aired)

Magi S2 pretty great. There's a big cast from S1 though, so I could understand not remembering everyone. Not remembering Aladdin, Alibaba, Morgiana, and Sinbad would be a little odd though.

I assume Zelda will get GotY on most sites, but you never know. There's a pretty heavy bias against Japanese games in GotY awards it feels like. Like, SMG2 has by far the best reviews of 2010, but it got less than 10% of the GotY awards that year.

Finally finished Trails of Zero. A pretty cool game. Definitely at least better than Sky 1 and 3. The tighter focus of everything is pretty great, though it does result in a bit of repetition (I assume the Trails games are repetitive partially due to their low budgets...). Party composition is way neater here than in Sky. Having small parties results in much better group dynamics and development. OST was solid, but I think Azure's is vastly superior in general...probably 3rd's too.

One of the silliest things about Netflix's current strategy is that they actually stream anime as they air in Japan. Every episode goes on the service at the same time it airs on TV. I think for a lot of people, the ideal would be for the shows to be simulcasted in subbed form as they air, and then have the dub released all at once a few months later. I can understand why Netflix doesn't do that (it's a lot more efficient to save all your promotion for a show for one release), but it's definitely too bad.

June 2019, Netflix removes it from their service. Fate/Apocrypha no longer exists in a legal streaming format. Fate/Apocrypha is gone until it returns to netflix randomly in 2021.

This happens to multiple shows and movies on Netflix every month.

I'm not quite sure I understand this argument. Crunchyroll and Funimation have removed shows from streaming as well. Furthermore, I think any show released under the "Netflix Original" banner will be on Netflix for a long time to come - possibly forever.

I can't think of many examples where this affected me. Highly faith-based or religious fiction, for example, moves me just as much as anything. On the other hand, there was a recent anime that heavily focused on how cool the main character was when he was smoking. That was definitely a turnoff for me.

I think all but two or three of them are worthless. Hers increases attack for all allies by 15% when she's on the field. Generally they're considered to be bad because their stat boosts are really low compared to other CEs.

Wasn't too bad with Jeanne/Herc/Zhuge. Had Herc die on the second last turn but that was it. Beat it on turn 11. Try focusing your attacks on single enemies in the first round so they stay alive longer and you can build more NP.
