It's got Joel Edgerton, and it's not a horror movie.

How would compare to The Gift then, since I have not seen The Witch as a frame of reference.

EDIT: I've also not seen the trailer or had any interest until this topic.

Also, gotta say, I think the most inspired piece of work on the Fashion Files board was Enzo Amore's "Out of Jurisdiction."

Now, obviously, Enzo is probably the biggest fashion criminal of all... BUT... he's also being attacked by a mystery assailant and would have an actual police case for our beautiful detectives!

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale Winner Mojo Rawley fights WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jinder Mahal to enter the Money in the Bank match. And loses.

I think, if anything, that's one of the craziest things you could've told me one year ago.

- Mojo Rawley, that lunatic two-minute-matcher on NXT who's the lesser half of the Hype Bros, is not only called up, but won ARMBAR? And might be in Money in the Bank???

- Jinder Mahal, former 3MB jobber most off-the-grid of pretty much everyone fired Black Thursday, is not only back in WWE, not only winning matches on his own, but he's WWE CHAMPION?!?!

Like... I can't think of anything crazier that's happened since the Draft in terms of one-year-difference.

Okay, maybe Champion AJ Styles losing to a Chinless Slug. Twice! DUH.

This is probably the stupidest Bayley’s ever looked, which is saying a lot. At the beginning of the match, Alexa Bliss sarcastically tells her she’ll let her climb up and pull down the kendo stick, and Bayley BELIEVES IT. So Bliss just attacks her from behind. And after like a month of wanting to “prove that she can be hardcore,” Bayley hesitates. And then instead of telling the story that she hesitated and couldn’t sell out who she is just to win a match, Bayley throws the hesitation aside and ATTACKS ANYWAY, leading to her getting her ass beaten and DDT’d. That’s the match. Like every other time Main Roster Bayley’s been asked to make a noble decision, she half-assedly makes it, then takes it back, and it costs her.

It’s the exact opposite of Sami Zayn and Neville at R-Evolution. After 18 months of desperately trying to prove that he could be the best in the promotion on his own terms, Zayn is handed an opportunity to cheat on a silver platter. He can hit Neville with the NXT Championship, accepting everyone (including Neville) who told him he’d need a “killer instinct” to be champ as right and fading into the crowd. Or, he can throw down the title and win it on his own goddamn terms. Because that era of NXT is a special gift from Wrestling God, Zayn does the right thing, and wins the match on his own. He doesn’t sell out. He doesn’t just cheat or take cheap shots because everyone else does. He’s a good goddamn human being in a vast, vast sea of peers who aren’t.

Imagine if that match had happened and Zayn was like, “I’m not gonna do it, you guys!” and then he shrugged, held up the title and screamed HAKUNA MATATA before running at Neville full-tilt, swinging the belt, missing, getting smacked in the back of the head and rolled up for three. And then on the next episode of NXT he went to William Regal and complained about how Neville doesn’t deserve to be champion. And then Regal put him in a HOLD SAMI’S HAND match where the rules favored him, but he refused, then couldn’t win under the other rules either. You’d never want to see that skanking motherfucker again.

Peace out, Bayley. Don’t let the door hit you in the back of the head with a stick on your way out.

So, so, SO completely on the money.

Not only was it bad for Bayley to look like she was going to use it, but that she wanted to use it... there's no Bayley from NXT there. She's just a goober who loses a lot and doesn't learn and is the same as everybody except she doesn't win, and doesn't deserve to.

She didn't come up here to stop Charlotte's bullying of the division or inspire girls that they didn't have to belittle each other to get ahead. Her story, as told by RAW, is that she wanted to play with the big kids who left her a year before, but just doesn't have what it takes to get anything done. It's sad, it's pathetic, and I blame all of it on the same writers who:

- made that horrible This is Your Life segment with Alexa
- gave Roman Reigns zero direction after Seth's backstab, and gave him 'tater tots' and 'sufferin succotash'
- made a segment featuring Daniel Bryan's therapist
- handed off the title to Owens and gave him nothing to do until Jericho salvaged what he could
- made the Ascension condescend and job out to old timers as soon as they were called up
- thought Big Show crying over a strip mall was a worthy feud instead of Bryan vs. Authority
- Ziggler-Summer-Rusev-Lana
- paired Del Rio and Zeb Colter
- paired Del Rio, Sheamus, Rusev, and Barrett
- produced the House of Horrors match
- had Sandow mock Axel after throwing Miz out of the ARMBAR and expect that to go over well
- and, probably most of all, booked Seth Rollins as a complete chicken**** heel for the duration of his reign

I honestly enjoyed this PPV a lot more than I was expecting. Bliss/Bayley was a complete wreck despite Bliss retaining, I think Alicia Fox died, and missed both Ambrose/Miz (by lateness) and Neville/Aries (by omission).

But the final match was really, really, really good. I think Bray Wyatt's at his best in multi-man matches. He never really seems to click in one-on-one situations, but whenever he has a group of people to interact with, it can be magic. I absolutely loved not only how good and nuanced the Joe/Wyatt interactions were like:

- Joe with that slight move to pin Rollins while Bray's back was turned and getting back up without Wyatt noticing/caring was awesome
- Bray and Joe looking like they're about to go at each other after dispatching Balor, but Bray cutting the tension with "I've got an idea, get him up," to continue it on (and leading Joe into posting himself into the chair)
- The stair shots, all those stair shots
- Joe taking Roman out midair from his drive by
- Wyatt occasionally and casually kicking anyone looking to get up or approaching the apron while they've got control. Like they're about to do a double team move and Wyatt moves away to kick Balor then comes back to do it with Joe? Awesome.

But also how long they went at it, and that the betrayal was completely justified with Joe wrecking Wyatt for the Rollins dive five minutes earlier. Like, there were times in that match where they got thrown into each other, but they kept on keeping on and didn't do that stupid "Oh, he moved out of the way and you hit me? ALLIANCE OVER!!!!" Wyatt actively put Joe in harm's way at least once or twice and Joe wasn't having anymore of it. So ****ing good.

And that's not even mentioning how INTENSE Balor was getting. Holy ****, that's the Demon, no makeup required. Then that spear through the barricade. Rollins vs Reigns is always a good time, but yeah, that Buckle Bomb no sell... agreed the 'splat' hurt it, but a bounce off would've made it excellent... Seth's Buckle Bombs always ruin something.

...

Right.

Also really enjoyed the Tag Team Championship match. It's a Cage MAtch. It's going to have things happening that don't make sense and make you wonder what the hell they're thinking, but I think they told as best a story as they could. Both teams kept trying to take opportunities, and both teams did their best to stop the opponents from getting out, and I really enjoyed the middle stretch where it was just Sheamus and Cesaro WRECKING the Hardys just to make sure they stay down. Glad they won.

Rich Swann's headscissors to top rope Noam Dar was my holy **** moment. I don't watch 205 Live so I don't know if that's a usual occurence, but I thought that was the coolest individual move I saw tonight.

Miz was on fire on RAW Talk and I feel terrible for Renee. Corey Graves was perfect as always. Samoa Joe, so good.

And finally, what was on the pre-show? Did we get Goldust vs. R-Truth or is that brewing for five weeks from now?

So there was this math game on the school computer in kindergarten. You were an adventurer fighting your way through an evil castle. If you lost all your health, you would get captured and put in this tower in a slowly descending elevator; and you had to solve math problems as quickly as possible to get free before the elevator reached the bottom and you died.

Can't remember the name of it. It was on a big floppy disk though.

Old shareware PC game called "Replicator."

You controlled a mad scientist and your monster and travelled through a randomly generated city searching for lab equipment, guns, SCUD missiles, etc. and fought cops, army men, and others to get things. Other scientists were controlled by NPCs and also working to the same goals. It was a very strange game and I've not been able to find anything about it.

I think the problem wasn't the jurors but the finalists. Between Brad really getting s*** upon for how he played the last few days with Tai, Troyzan pretty much seen as a follower (and only hurting himself further every time he opened his mouth), and people feeling emotionally hurt and betrayed by the way Sarah played, it was hard to have a really good forum. I think Sarah answered her critics extremely well with a great argument for how and why she handled her game. She not only admitted to her faults and mistakes as they came up, turning them around and explaining why they were positive moves for her game, she was also mostly aware of how she was perceived. The same cannot be said for either of her opponents.

Brad was clearly not aware of how he came across in those last few days; he clearly forgot WWMD with the way he ordered Tai around. He bullied Tai into a situation that would be of no benefit to Tai at all, knew that he would've betrayed Tai regardless of the outcome, but didn't count on Tai understanding what a jackass Brad was being. ...But I can also see the frustration Brad had overall. Can't remember exact quote, but when he exasperatedly told Tai that he was frustrated with how every single tribal council he thought he knew what was going to happen and it just went opposite... I can see him just wanting some ****ing control, something concrete to understand and rely on for once in this game, but that's no excuse for his handling of any of it.

Which is what is so favorable in my eyes with Sarah. She had such a handle on most, if not all, the Tribal Council votes. Of course, there were tons and tons of crazy things happening, and she would have gone home if not for that Legacy, but she probably would've played different that night and nights leading up to it if she didn't know she were already safe. Brad was blindsided by everything. Sarah had a hand in everything.

Heh. Originally just wanted to point out that the old format wouldn't have been able to include Aubry's (IIRC) zinger against Troyzan.

"You said 'they'."

Not 'we' nor 'I'... the other people in the alliance making the decisions. I also like that Brad stood up for him, even if it was barely.

Really, really enjoyed that Tribal. Ozzy, Zeke, and Debbie would've been horrible no matter the format.

Just looked over Aubry's twitter and had no idea she was local! In hoping that I would one day see her, I remembered that last week, I could've sworn I chatted with Stephenie LaGrossa for about two minutes at work. Same voice, same eyebrows, face, straighter hair, just asking questions about the theater.

I live in the same town as Jeremy and Val and have never seen them. If my first non-con Survivor meeting was with Stephenie, that is awesome.

EDIT: And I'm just realizing there's a Smash tournament I could've worked.; I could've met Ken, or maybe even Stingers!

Off-the-Cuff Rankings:

Queendom:
1. Michaela
2. Sandra
3. Cirie
4. Sierra
5. Sarah
6. Andrea

Hard to Rank:
7. Tony (Hilarious overplay, two episode wonder)
8. Aubry (So INV, but interesting whenever she was around)
9. JT (was he an idiot? Yes. But leaving them stranded in the ocean to look for an idol was better than a lot of things)
10. Brad Culpepper (Much higher before the final episode, top three pre-merge)
11. Troyzan (Practically INV, but I really enjoyed his pre-merge stuff and his final tribal)
12. Malcolm (I enjoyed him a lot)
13. Zeke (Outside the outing and sympathy for the situation, I hated his gameplay and how he (and Cirie) imploded the better alliance)

Meh:
14. Hali
15. Tai
16. Caleb
17. Ciera

Hate:
18. Ozzy
19. Debbie
20. Varner (Before that hugely scummy Tribal Council that ruins him forever, he'd probably be in the middle just for being Sandra's sidekick, but holy ****)

Really enjoyed the way this Tribal worked. Sure, the final three may not be to many people's liking, but the fact that we got jurors speaking multiple times and chiming in on different topics and not just getting one round of questions, it was refreshing.
