For what it's worth I think the first act is the weakest by far. After reflecting on it I actually like the third act quite a lot.

Also this version of Light is more edgelord school shooter. Although, I'm not American, but are there really not preppy golden boy types there?

There are, but I certainly wouldn't call Light a "preppy golden boy" type. When I think of a preppy golden boy type, I think of somebody that thinks they're above everybody/superior/etc., yeah... But it stops far before the "Cleanse the filth/play God" parts come in. The "preppy golden boy" type is basically somebody that's a douchebag, but relatively harmless.

That kinda IS Light Yagami though. He's a Good Kid. He's got his stuff together and he's really smart and he's out to do the right thing. And then he gets ultimate power and makes some choices and goes downhill. To me that is one of the most interesting things about the original- a well-meaning good guy who gets swept up in his own power and doesn't realize he's stopped being the good guy. Light Turner is just some edgy highschooler who bumbles around until realizing hey maybe this is a bad idea.

L did a good job. So did Ryuk and Watari. About halfway through the movie Light got the memo that he was maybe supposed to be conveying some sort of emotions, but he didn't pass that along to Mia.

the director seems to have haphazardly changed every single character to try and make them more 'appealing' while completely losing sight of the original themes that those characters were supposed to represent. it's even weirder because he does seem to "get" L in earlier parts of the movie but things accelerate toward the conclusion too quickly and at that point things just become way too hands-on as a result.

This is incredibly accurate. Like okay sometimes you gotta localize and adapt some stuff but we took all the themes of the original and tossed them out in favor of Hot Topic: The Movie

The Wonderful 100 (upgraded) are as they appear in their on-foot Unlimited Form in The Wonderful 101, with Red, Blue, Green, Pink, Yellow, White, Black, Vorkken, Chewgi, Immorta, and 90 civilians that are equipped with Tiny Wonder Masks. They have all their techniques (except Hero Block), moves, upgrades, and custom blocks (except Ukemi). They don't have any additional Tiny Wonder Masks. A Freak Breach will occur at a neutral point in the terrain (W100 are aware of where the breach is occurring). W100 will prioritize clearing the freak breach, but not at the cost of their own safety. They and Nisha will be able to share the high five mechanic, wherein they will evenly split the health remaining between them should they high five, even if one is on death's door and the other is untouched.

Balthier is as he appears in Final Fantasy XII: International Zodiac Edition, with every license from the Machinist Class board learned. He is equipped with Fomalhaut, Gigas Chestplate, Renewing Morion, and Blazer Gloves, and may also use the Volcano and Multiscale weapons. He cannot cast Graviga or Warp, cannot summon Espers, and cannot use any Technicks aside from Achilles, Libra, Steal, or Stamp. He is equipped with Aldebaran Y, Mirage Vest, Renewing Morion, and Blazer Gloves, and may also use the Volcano T, Multiscale, and Euclid's Sextant weapons. He and Nisha will be able to share the high five mechanic, wherein they will evenly split the health remaining between them should they high five, even if one is on death's door and the other is untouched.

Class VII is as is seen in Trails of Cold Steel, at max level. They are all equipped with an Aura Jacket, Accel Gear, and a Medal of Dawn. She is assumed to be max level, focusing in the Law and Order and Fan the Hammer trees, and equipped with Law, Order, Judge, Rex and the Sheriff's Badge. She and Jonathan start alone in the center of the terrain. Billy & Jimmy Lee are as they are seen in Double Dragon Neon, with the Balanced, Rage, Weapons Up, Desperation, and Absorb Mix Tape, and all Sosetsitsu with the exception of Song Snatch. They can high five at any time to split their total health pool evenly between them. Billy has stolen 25% of Delsin's health, and Jimmy has stolen 25% of FFIV's. Does that mean they get to use that health too?

Elma, Agents, FFIV, Delsin, and J&C have challenged W100, Zoran, Balthier, Nisha, and Lees to a fight! Location of the fight: Mt. Ordeals, As seen in Final Fantasy IV. Cecil's team, or the defending team if he's not present, starts at the summit, the other team starts at the base. No enemies are present, and the Cave of Trials cannot be accessed.

Elma is as she is seen in Xenoblade Chronicles X in her mimeosome, a max level Full Metal Jaguar with all of her arts and skills fully upgraded. She has a Verus Cain skell, outfitted with its default Machine Gun, B-Claw, G Buster, SHD-Ray, Lasergun, and Grenade, along with a Beamsaber, Cracker-FL, Minigun, and Shield. She is piloting the Ares 90

The Agents are how they appear in Crackdown 2, with maxed out stats. They have all of their weapons from Crackdown 2. There are two agents acting together as a team. One has brought an upgraded Agency SUV. A Freak Breach will occur at a neutral point in the terrain (The Agents are aware of where the breach is occurring). The agents will prioritize clearing the freak breach, but not at the cost of their own safety.

Delsin Rowe, as seen in inFamous: Second Son, with maxed good karma, and all skills fully upgraded. He will have one full-replenish of all of his different resources at his team's starting position. Billy has stolen 25% of his health.

Jonathan and Charlotte are as they appear at the end of Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, with all relics. Jonathan is equipped with the True Vampire Killer, Final Sword, Alucard's Spear, Platinum Plate, Winged Boots and Hercules Ring, with all of his sub-weapons mastered. Charlotte is equipped with the Tome of Arms X, Robe Decolette, Silent Sandals and Sorceress Crest, with all of her spells other than summons and Time Stop. They cannot use Dual Crushes.

WoT TGS: I am still curious about Moridin, even after further confirmation of his identity. I'm also pleased at Min PoV, especially with Rand opening up to her! Larys is awesome and I kinda feel like Egwene should be taking her up on the offer of escape.

G-Senjou: I'm not a big fan of H-scenes, but I'm always curious about cut or censored content, and I assume there's some here. Ah well! I'm a fan of this ship now that it is happening. Was really expecting to wind up with Mizuha though, based on my choices! Also, that poshumous face turn. Also, really rough Haru backstory :\ And now we're gonna learn about Kyouhei!
