Finished Pyre. I thought that was pretty good, definitely liked it better than Bastion. The final rite was kinda jacked up though, framerate completely tanked - almost to the point of being unplayable. Didn't have any other performance issues up until then so it was very odd.

I just don't think I ever wanted a nidhogg sequel. It wasn't something I played and though "I hope they take another crack at this". The original already had everything I wanted from a game like that.

Hmm? No, Offensive Heal Combo - the drain one - is the one you want to use. It's a 14 hit attack, and it alternates between damaging and healing, but both types of hits increase the chain count. 14 x 2 (for dual wield) x 2 (for second A2) = 56. And its damage is a 5x multiplier (better than Dash Attack, the setup move).

Nah, A2 is the chain queen in the game now, two of them together can 55-hit if done correctly.

I can always just rely on friend units for the second one, and then my 2B will just chain with them in the middle I suppose.

all things told, for getting both 5*s on a double 5* banner, I didn't spend that much.

I've spent more on other banners and gotten less. and there aren't any units I'm willing to spend cash on anymore even in JP, so just worthwhile bundle for me from now on.

wew lad

beat aigaion with that setup. fight almost went sideways after killing the body because I mismanaged the right arm's health and the fight dragged on a bit longer than it needed to. didn't get world destroyer but whatever.

also perfect chaining OHC is really hard. most of the time I just two 25-hit chains instead of the full 55-hit one. it was still enough to deal ~1.5m damage a turn to the body, but it seems like the timing is extremely tight. it's easier if you have another unit to bridge the frame gap.

Yeah, it's a bad fight that seems specifically tailored to counter every strategy in GL right now. Want to brute for the boss? Nope, it respawns unless you kill the adds. Want to buff up your tanks? Nope, unevadeable devour and magic-based attacks. Want to use high attack chainers? Nope, here's berserk, an ailment that has literally zero ways to stop or mitigate in the game.

Get ready for a GL exclusive base 5* to show up in a couple weeks that has berserk protection and magic damage mitigation.
