The original was unfortunately actually too good and the demographics were showing college kids and young adults loved the show. Well, we can't have that for advertising so insert silly animation that will only hold the attention of grade school children. It's all about that money.

They dumbed down the content for kids which insults the newer generation of kids. The writing does have moments of brilliance so you can tell some of the writers are actually really good but they keep that smart stuff on a tight leash.

The kicker with every single person at NERV being broken and dysfunctional is that the paranoid ones were proven right as seen in the final episodes. The world literally does hate every single one of them.

It's one of the most nihilistic pieces of mainstream art ever produced and probably the most successful of all time. Anno probably views the insane commercial success as the universe laughing and mocking him.

people have been saying this for decades. hell, people used to say we wouldn't survive the 20th century.

Have you watched the news any this year? This cycle cannot hold and it definitely can't end well. Something has to give. Most historians say that it doesn't matter what weapons are used in WW3 because WW4 will be fought with sticks and stones. A lot of 80s cartoons were low key post apocalyptic like Thundarr the Barbarian.

Yes, the bar scene with the Trickster alone makes it the best.

Epilogue for me. However, I want to point out this bar scene with the Trickster is one of my favorite character scenes in any medium. Good call. Such great writing. Epilogue has Batman and Ace sitting in a set of swings. It says everything you need to know about it why he is a hero. Still... Flash is actually a rare guy Bruce admires and that bar scene says it all.

Spoilers, duh

MC fucks a lot of girls in school, but there are two main ones. He gets one of them knocked up, but wants her to get rid of it. Those two meet up latter and she stabs him and calls the other girl to meet her on the roof of the school. That girls shows up, the knocked up girl show her MC's head, and the other girl cuts her neck open in rage.

But wait, there is more

She then cuts the knocked up girl's belly open to see if she really did have a kid in there, and there is no kid. We cut to black and we get another scene of the other girl on a boat holding the MC's head in her lap and says they can finally be together.

It probably wasn't even his truth be told -- that's what I was getting at earlier.

Kidding aside, could you please explain a bit further? I saw the Wiki for Karma Houdini, so I know what that is. Omega, is easy. And Taisuke is just the MC's friend. So what are you talking about? This world is fucked up, so if you're saying he's worse than Tomaru Sawagoe, then that's fucking crazy.

Watch the episode with the dance again. Believe it or not, that is NOT the only time he did that. Actually, he's more or less the reason that chick tried to push a baby off on MANkoto -- Taisuke assualted her off screen apparently. It makes more sense when you think about it and it's even more messed up than it seemed. So basically, that ending wasn't as random as it seemed after all when viewed in this light.

The company is staunchly Christian. They don't bother anybody. They just reserve Sundays for families to go to church. If you work there and aren't religious... you get to spend more time with your family or just chill. It makes sense, really. European countries have more time off than we do and are more happy and productive for it. Maybe there's reasons Chic Fil A employees are the happiest with best customer service for a while now. Even people who don't like them personally will vouch for their excellent service.

I don't think many people care about Chic-Fil-A's sales. Personally, it is more of the fact that a food vendor would be closed during an event and that's just crappy.

Then... don't go there. Keep your money and your hateful opinions to yourself. If you do happen to go, all you are going to get is excellent service and tasty chicken. If you want some on Sundays then order extra on Saturday and keep it in the fridge. Clearly their business model works pretty well without your input.
