Topic | Antifa are a bunch of cowards |
Grendel Prime 08/28/17 4:02:49 PM #25 | TheCyborgNinja posted... Antifa, in practice, are actually worse than the average neo-Nazi, honestly. Saying hateful things is far less problematic than being violent and destructive. Not to mention they all hide behind masks and run away. Are you drunk? Plenty of violent neo-Nazis/white nationalists/Klan members. And many of them wear things to conceal their faces. Especially the Klan. What a dumb statement. --- |

Grendel Prime 08/28/17 3:57:45 PM #2 | What a POS. Think of all the hours police spent looking into this. The tax money. What an asshole. --- |
Topic | Antifa are a bunch of cowards |
Grendel Prime 08/28/17 2:28:17 PM #10 | I don't know much about Antifa, but I'd hazard a guess that 4 people aren't representative of the entire group, just as every white nationalist wouldn't climb into their car and drive into a crowd of people. --- |

Grendel Prime 08/28/17 1:24:52 PM #87 | XlaxJynx007 posted... The President is allowed to pardon anybody they want Doesn't mean the President is immune from criticism. Particularly when that criticism is warranted. --- |

Grendel Prime 08/28/17 1:20:05 PM #3 | Peterass posted... A Serbian Film This came to mind immediately, but if I thought about it more I could probably name one that I found more disturbing. --- |

Grendel Prime 08/28/17 12:08:06 PM #2 | I get those from time to time. Usually just block them, but sometimes I'll report them if I think they're phishing. --- |
Topic | Time for daily Would You Rather |
Grendel Prime 08/28/17 12:06:00 PM #6 | For what it's worth, house arrest doesn't mean you never leave the house. You can still go to work, appointments, do grocery shopping, take kids to school, etc. You have to provide schedules and check in with your PO, and usually you have a curfew, but it's not as restrictive as you'd think. Varies state to state, though. --- |

The ABe's Anus thing, not sure how it started, but it was a common joke for a while. --- |
Topic | Game difficulty preference |
Grendel Prime 08/03/17 2:29:47 PM #25 | Katon posted... I'd rather a game be too easy than too hard. This, but I'd prefer a balanced challenge. When I was younger and had more free time, I'd throw myself against all the "insane" and "hardcore" difficulties I could. Nowadays I don't have time to repeat the same stage or boss over and over, so I tend not to play anything above normal/default. --- |
Topic | the other day i was waiting on a guy with headphones in... |
Grendel Prime 08/03/17 2:22:36 PM #2 | It's a pet peeve of mine when people talk on the phone while checking out. I don't even work retail, just find it rude. I'd never say anything, though. I'm sure plenty of cashiers don't mind. They probably welcome the break from the same small talk they've had all day long. (How many times a day do people talk about the weather with you, TC?) Just rubs me the wrong way, is all. The headphones thing would annoy me, too. --- |
Topic | are you going to be married with kids and live happily ever after? |
Grendel Prime 07/31/17 6:24:35 AM #27 | 10 years and two children in (with a third child planned for the future. Maybe a year from now), my wife and I are happy. Can't predict what may come a little further down the road, but for the foreseeable future I see no reason why we won't be happy. --- |

Topic | Virtual console trade ins. |
Grendel Prime 07/27/17 10:40:51 PM #2 | I love this idea. It won't ever happen because rereleases make these companies a ton of money, but it's an awesome idea. Avoiding sending in physical copies, it would be cool if they could recognize games that you've purchased digitally that later get a remaster or whatever and give you some sort of credit or discount for repurchase. I could see that happening before any trade-in program for physical copies, but it won't happen either lol --- |

Grendel Prime 07/09/17 9:52:44 AM #6 | EvilMegas posted... The reply is somehow even more cringy than the OP. Don't know why it's cringy to repeat some useless information I acquired from a question my brother asked. Sometimes people retain oddball trivia, this is not something I care to know. I'm not even sure if it's correct. --- |
Topic | How much human blood would it take to get enough iron to forge a 1m/1.5kg blade? |
Grendel Prime 07/09/17 9:37:03 AM #2 | This has been asked numerous times. My brother thought about this and turns out the internet is full of people asking this question. IIRC it takes blood of like 2500+ people to make one sword. --- |
Topic | When you're listening to Tool, just remember that they're not like other bands. |
Grendel Prime 07/05/17 4:41:30 PM #14 | DorkLink posted... I like Tool, but they do have some pretentious fans I went to see Fantomas open for Tool some years ago, and was stoked for Fantomas. During their entire set the Tool fans in the audience jeered and made comments about how weird and noisy Fantomas were. Completely killed my enthusiasm. I left like three songs into Tool's set because I was disgusted (and surprised) at how close-minded the fans were for being enthusiasts of a progressive band. --- |
Topic | Do you personally know any super smart super religious people? |
Grendel Prime 07/05/17 4:36:20 PM #37 | @BlanketPI Arguments have been made that many great thinkers were only religious to avoid any social or professional ostracism inherent with being a non-believer. It was significantly more frowned upon even as recently as a couple of decades ago to claim you were atheist/agnostic. In some places/eras, you could be shunned, driven out of town or worse. --- |

Topic | What should my secondary PSN name be? (Choices inside) |
Grendel Prime 07/05/17 8:33:51 AM #13 | Spirit_of_Yuta. No "The" before it. Rolls off the tongue better, and makes it easier for people to identify you in multiplayer. You'll probably have people shortening it and calling you "Spirit" or "Yuta", anyway. --- |
Topic | Do you personally know any super smart super religious people? |
Grendel Prime 07/05/17 8:29:59 AM #10 | Even Richard Dawkins acknowledges he is less than 100% certain in his conviction that there exists no supernatural creator. He relies heavily on the evidence of evolution and the apparent lack of evidence of any sort of gods. I forget how he worded it, but I know he identifies as agnostic even though most people label him the world's foremost atheist. Which makes perfect sense. There's a severe lack of evidence to support the existence of deities, but there is also no definitive proof that they don't exist. Takes almost as much faith to say "God does not exist" as it does to say the opposite. I say "almost" primarily because atheism/agnosticism have science to support them, whereas religions just have faith and bibles. --- |
Topic | Do you personally know any super smart super religious people? |
Grendel Prime 07/05/17 8:07:59 AM #7 | Of course. Just because they're wrong about one thing doesn't mean they don't possess any intelligence at all. A lot of priests/rabbis/etc are very well educated. And there's plenty of devout, faithful people who are smart in other ways. --- |

Grendel Prime 06/29/17 3:21:35 PM #6 | green dragon posted... I thought magic was really easy. Very op in the first dark souls imo Magic is way OP, but usually you're a glass cannon. For a newcomer, that can mean dying more than one normally would. --- |

Grendel Prime 06/15/17 2:16:27 PM #3 | I saw lots of things I'm looking forward to. Nothing mind blowing, but I don't expect miracles every day. I was satisfied, but I can see how if there was a particular game you were hoping would get announced how it might've been a disappointment. --- |

Grendel Prime 06/15/17 12:22:38 PM #11 | Nah, I think Best Buy beats it. Believe it's $38 or $39 on PS Store. There are some pretty decent deals in the sale, though. Wolfenstein: The New Order is pretty cheap. --- |

Grendel Prime 05/19/17 6:48:05 PM #6 | It's still in early access I think, so I'd expect to find the occasional bug or glitch. If that concerns you, may as well wait until it's official release. Hopefully they can work out all of the kinks. For what it's worth, I haven't come across anything gamebreaking yet. --- |
