fair, next..when you are trying to undercut and undermine people who do everything legally, those are the kind of risks you run when work under the table illegally. There are no rights to give up, because as illegal workers they have none.

Literally. There is no other alternative to this. Why people are okay having their tax dollars taken to pay for people who refuse to participate equally in the same system is beyond me. I don't know about some of you guys but I work hard for my money, and if I could choose where my tax dollars went specifically, it would go to those who are legal citizens that need help, not those who undermine the system with every breath they take.

These people are lucky to get a job being here illegally as it is, so they should be grateful they weren't reported when they attempted to get the job. Not crying foul when the services reserved for legal citizens is denied to them because they're not.

That's not scummy at all.

This will encourage people who are her illegally to get the proper legal documents, so they can get the compensation they deserve--just like EVERY OTHER legal US citizen.

Considering nobody will draw a line anywhere at all when it comes to illegals--outside of them committing serious crimes and being deported when found out--it's good to see some people are doing something to encourage proper action when it comes to living and working here.

...not exactly?

The ruling states that in this case there is no clear evidence that these particular school employees were in what would be considered "positions of power or authority" over the legal-aged students they had sex with. One of them wasn't even a teacher.

If an 18yo has sex with a teacher, but she's not in that teacher's class, then that teacher doesn't really have any authority over her. They can't change her grades, or give her extra leniency or preferential treatment. There's essentially no advantage for that student to gain from the relationship, nor leverage the teacher can use to manipulate the student into sex.

It's still a felony for a teacher to have sex with a student in one of their classes. Or a principle to have sex with any student in his school. Because that is clearly a position of power and authority.

Not that I don't agree with what you're saying, but...

By that logic, any teacher having an affair with a student could request the student be removed from their class, and problem solved. I think they consider any authority figure within the school to have "power" over anyone in the student body. Which is why I'm pretty sure there have been cases of this exact scenario, where the kid doesn't even have said teacher, but it is still made out that the teacher has authoritative power over the student.

I had never been in an accident before, and held insurance with geico for 10 years before getting in my first accident. I was forced into a guard rail by another car, going 45mp/h, fucked up the front right tire and rim, smashed up the front right side above the wheel well, and gouged the right side of the car from the front tire to the rear bumper.

Payed a $100 deductible, got a rental, and they fixed the problem in about a week.

Several weeks after getting my car back, someone drove in front of me in a parking lot and I T-boned them at the passenger side front door/front tire. Banged up the bumper and folded the hood down a bit. Same deal as before.

They've been great.

Dude, Reddit has been like this for a while now, it just didn't start being extremely noticeable until it started happening on the popular subreddits within the past year, primarily due to the divide the most recent election has caused.

Just as an example...if you go into r/history, and bring up any evidence that challenges the status quo, you'll be downvoted into oblivion, and PMed by the mods and told straight up, that if you don't have anything to post that supports current historic theory, not to post it at all, or you'll be banned.

Hell, you can't even so much as have an open mind on those subreddits.

I posted in r/physics about the possibility of the sun being electrical in nature (as opposed to nuclear--which makes the least amount of sense considering recent discoveries) with a descriptive article tied to an experiment that all but literally proved it without a doubt, and had my thread deleted, and was told never to post similar information on r/physics again. I PMed back giving links to information and experiments proving this wasn't some shit out of left field, but is a very viable theory, and was told "I don't believe you. Again, don't post anything like this again, evidenced or not."

Needless to say I stay away from posting in the science and historical themed Reddits.

Moderators get caught sweeping shit under the rug all the time, caught being complete pieces of shit to other users, get caught banning for no reason, and since each Reddit is its own independent heirerarchy, you're basically at the mercy of whatever basement dwelling neckbeard controls that board.

And you guys think it's really bad here...at least there is a TOS that is mostly followed and executed. They ban people for shit on Reddit they have no business banning people for.

That's a tough spot. He will have to spend money on a tux and a bachelor party for wherever you all go.

I would say sit down and talk to him. "Listen, you're one of my best friends, I want you to be a groomsman, I know times are tough for you monetarily. Would you be interested?"

Solid advice.

To add to this, try and set up your gig to accommodate to all your friends. As in don't ask for a bachelor party that's going to cost a fortune, and maybe even offer to help him with some of the tux rental/costs associated with getting him into your wedding.

Most people only get married once--so if you don't invite him it will probably bother you for a long while, and may bother him.

There's a healthy medium here somewhere. Friendship is about finding the middle ground between you and your friend.

Edit: believe it or not, thrift stores and goodwill have a ton of stuff you could wear to a wedding that is extremely affordable. Especially if you're not doing full Tux, shouldn't be hard for him to find something.

It's not just Western.

Dragonball Z is 20 years old, and most episodes have excellent animation qualities, and some have shitty animation qualities. Back then it all depended on the artist, as there were 3 artists in rotation, one being really good, another being fairly good, and the third being just god-awful.

I bring up DBZ, because currently Dragonball Super is new, and still in production as it airs. DBSuper has really good animation and literally some of the worst the franchise has ever seen. But unlike Z where it varied every couple of episodes (one animator would do sometimes 2-3 in a row), Super can change one minute at a time. It's insane really.

After seeing the newest movies (Battle of the Gods, and Ressurection of Frieza) and how excellent the animation was in those movies, I thought we'd be in for a huge treat, but god damn was I wrong.

As far as western shit goes though, I think you're right. Styles are fairly similar, especially when it's computer generated art (cgi), but I don't know the reasoning behind it.

I know the reason for DBZ and DBSuper being the way they are has to do with Akira himself not actually drawing the characters. There are new artists that try to imitate his style, and create their own stuff using his influence as a direction to go in.

Look up Supers bad animation comparisons. You guys would literally shit your pants. It's funny, but sad at the same time. Such potential is bein wasted with the series. Especially the beginning couple of sagas. It's gotten better, but still has terribad moments.

N3xtG3nGam3r
07/23/17 10:10:46 PM

Being famous categorizes the people you listed in a completely different way.

Social status though (the regular definition of it at least) absolutely matters to men. But social status in terms of their friends, who they've dated, and what other men (and women too, just not as much) think of them

For me at least, I don't look at whether or not a woman has money or not--most men don't, especially when it comes down to our primal instincts of finding a mating partner. Men are competitive, so most men attempt to seek out the most competed for woman, as a way to show they're better than the other men involved. This boils down to their looks, and how many other men the woman has been with/how many men are attempting to be with her.

Men are pre-programmed to want to protect and feed their family, so 99/100 times, a girl being poor will not matter when choosing a partner.

So long story short, social status does matter...just not the social status you're referring to, in my opinion. Successful women that are not attractive, only attract men due to their economic social status. The ones that are drop dead gorgeous, and are rich, and under the spotlight, are swooned over because they're beautiful, and being rich gives them a platform to be seen more widely from.

You're not rooting for The White Wolf?

He doesn't care about the Iron Throne.

He knows that Cersei will come after him soon and the only way to survive is to defeat her and take the throne himself. Besides, he has the strongest claim to the throne

Realistically she's pretty incapable of going all the way to the North, plus as of right now he no claim until and unless proof comes out that Rhaegar and Lyanna were married.

This will be discovered by Gillie, reading through books about marriages and annulments. Bet you she mis-pronounces Rhaegars name though, and Samuel doesn't catch it. The season will likely end with Jon and Danaerys banging, following a scene where Sam uncovers the truth.

Sam is gonna get banned from the Citadel for curing Jorah, and decide to head back to Winterfell and help Jon.

in other words, they colluded. why are you guys acting like just because she was full of shit negates the whole thing? he knowingly went to a russian official to get incriminating evidence against HRC. just because she didnt have it doesn't mean all wrongs of right.

So why does this matter? If the person wasn't full of shit, and did have evidence incriminating HC, would that mean the contact obtained the info illegally?

**Furthermore, if someone in china hacked someone's emails, flew to the states, and met in person to discuss what they found with you (and let's assume you had no part in them obtaining said info, they just randomly picked you to share it with)...is that a crime on your part for digesting the information? If it was someone associated with the press, they wouldn't be hung for obtaining and sharing the information, and that's considering they'd probably protect their contact.

**(This second part is hypothetical, not a direct comparitive correlation to Jr.'s situation).

No. It's a trap, bro. Run away from a disabled person, even if they attack you. In this day and age, you will be forever known as the guy who beat up that poor gentle man who can't tie his shoelaces without help. Avoid being a click bait headline and having to explain your side of the story forever. Just run away.

Sadly, while if you needed to disarm the person attacking you by pushing, or hitting back until you could get away, or get them to stop, this is exactly correct.

You'll either be the internet meme of the guy who got beat up by someone mentally challenged, or be socially hung and dehumanized for "attacking" someone who is mentally challenged.

You will lose no matter what in this situation mostly.

*eyeroll*

If it was a dude he'd have gotten years, and they would have manipulated the law somehow to make him a registered sex offender.

A little story I've never told anyone, I'd like to share:

I was in my senior year (18) at the end of the year, when I started to take notice that my Spanish teacher seemed to treat me differently than the other kids in her classes (it was apparent it started sooner, just fully realized at this point). Some of the younger guys in my class even mentioned they thought she had a thing for me. She was a younger teacher, long blonde hair, with a more athletic build--good looking by teacher standards.

She gave me lunch detention (which she'd never given me before--or anyone for that matter) one day out of the blue for seemingly nothing, especially considering I cut up in her class literally every chance I had, constantly hitting on the several good looking underclassmen in our Spanish class (this is what evolved our student teacher relationship into something kinda weird throughout the year).

I came into her room that day during lunch, and she had me sit towards the back in the first row (where you couldn't see from the door window) on the other side of the room where her desk was, and she closed the door, locked it, and came over and sat on top of my desk, like right in my face, and started talking to me about my personal life, mostly my girlfriend at the time, which was kind of weird, and made some comments about her (my gf) being really quiet, and not my type at all, and basically implying I only was dating her to have sex with her, ending the segment about me and my girlfriend saying high school relationships don't last outside of HS. She switched the topic from me, to her, telling me about her husband, and how she had gotten married at a young age (she was now 25, married at 21) and told me she regretted it, claiming she missed out on a lot of experiences and fun that she could have had and still be having (with a smirk on her face), other people she could have been with, and that she didn't want to get divorced, but didn't wish to remain married any longer either. She also told me her husband didn't satisfy her in general, and that if she could go back and redo things she'd still be single.

Then there was an attempt to open the door, followed by a knock. She looked at the door, looked at me and said they'd go away. But they kept knocking, so she annoyingly rolled her eyes, gave a heavy sigh, went and answered the door. Was a girl from another class that needed some help on something...so she let her in, walked up to me, and said "I'll see you tomorrow".

The Big Bang violates the laws of thermodynamics, but they still cling to it.

Like 200,000 years ago there was some sort of adjustment made to our DNA that has led us to be what we are now. Evolutionists have been looking for the "missing link" for a century now, and it doesn't look like they'll find it.

Strangely enough, the Sumerian Cunieform tablets basically say that some sort of sentient god like beings modified our DNA, and created us in their image. These tablets pre-date anything the Bible says, and its eerily similar to how the Bible says we were created. As in, the Bible was derived from those tablets thousands of years later.

The people that scribed these tablets also somehow knew there were 9 planets in the solar system, and knew of heliocentralism.

Nah. It's fun if the game is non-linear and lets you use it as a solution.

The first time I played Morrowind, and saw you could pickpocket, rob, break/enter and steal, and make a career out of it, I was immediately sold that it would be one of the greatest game experiences of all time. And I was right. Logged about 1,000+ hours into that game over the period of 2 years.

No game since then has gotten those mechanics correct, even the later Elder Scrolls games after Morrowind. Oblivion was so dumbed down that they wouldn't let you offload goods without a fence, which forced you to play through the story.

We need more games with ultimate freedom. What made Morrowind so good, was that you could get off the boat, and go straight to Dagoth-Ur to try and beat the game if you wanted to. You obviously had to level your character to beat the guy (minus a couple of items you had to acquire) but you truly could level your character ANY way you wanted.

I wish they'd re-do Morrowind on the Skyrim engine and re-release it. I'd gladly pay $60 for that.

So much this.

Arya is supposed to be younger than maisies real age and they do an excellent job depicting that.

afaik arya has no beef with littlefinger

she wasnt there when her father was betrayed by him

Bran is most likely going to make it home (we see him in a wheelchair and the winter fell maester standing next to him in the second S7 trailer by a weirwood tree), and he has seen it all. He will know little finger has betrayed the starks left and right, plus Sansa isn't going for his shit anymore--you can tell that by their interaction in the first episode. Once Arya makes it home, there will be two stark girls at wintergell, and then bran. LF will try and stir the pot, that's a guarantee...he's gonna get caught up trying to manipulate everyone.

The issue is just that people assume parenting will come naturally and don't do any fucking research into how to raise a human being.

they didn't do any research before and just decided to hit their kids

they still don't do any research but heard that spanking is wrong/isn't effective so they don't do that

Most parents just rely on tactics their parents used on them.

I'd say being a kid and being raised is about as good of research one could do on the matter lol.

Another poster above said his mom has been in the child care industry for over 20 years and children's behavior has gotten increasingly worse and worse, most recently especially.

Most kids nowadays are spoiled rotten, and are entitled little brats. My daughter is very spoiled, and this contributes to her ill behavior more than anything else.

"Spanking is bad and doesn't work..." --every person in this thread without children.

I spank my daughter when necessary. I put my daughter in time-out when it's necessary. Until she is old enough to understand the difference between right and wrong, and the consequences of her actions, and how how her actions affect others, she will continue to be spanked/put in time-out. After her punishment, and she is calmed down, I sit her down and ask her if she knows why she was punished. I then explain why she can or can't, do this or that, and that is the end of it.

Spanking can work just as good as timeout, and vice versa. It's all about the severity of the bad behavior in my opinion. Mine is not spanked or put in timeout unless it's something fairly bad. Otherwise I just verbally communicate why what she did was wrong, and flip flop the scenario to where she is the one affected, and ask how she would feel if that was done to her.

Teaching the golden rule is difficult and can take a while to sink in for some children. Until that day comes, keeping your children in line by slapping them on the wrist/hand/bottom will have to do. Kids don't use reason and logic like adults do, so getting them to understand "if I do this I get spanked" is about as good as it gets for the time being.

Spanking your children isn't indicative of your ability to be a parent.

Jon to die and be brought back in front of Important characters so they can see his resurrection first hand.

Cersei to die at the hand of Jaime.

The mountain to die at the hand of the hound.

Euron to die at the hand of Theon.

Sand snakes by anyone (except Bronn fucks that one first before she dies),

Littlefinger to die by Sansa while she's naked and they're about to fuck, and she takes her face off and it's Arya.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

I would just like to see a KO either way, but we all know Conor is going to chase Floyd around the ring while Floyd does defense every round, trying to win by decision.

I'm just hoping Conor got/gets under Floyds skin enough to force floyd to do something other than dance for once in the past 5-6 years.

Conor is going to call him a pussy non stop the whole match while Floyd says "I don't care, winning is winning" basically.

I'm betting the match will be a huge let down with little contact/action due to floyds defensive nature.

Guilty of murder? Ok, fine, he was found not guilty. But the prosecution fucked up royally by trying to have him charged that way anyways.

He definitely is guilty of manslaughter though without a doubt, and in these cases, while finding him guilty of murder would be proper justice--finding him guilty of manslaughter would have resulted in imprisonment, no payout, and a record that would follow him wherever he went, ensuring he never got a good paying job ever again (especially as a civil servant), and would have almost been a guaranteed win for the prosecution.

You don't gamble on cases like this. Now the family has to go on knowing he killed the guy, won the trial, gets a lump sum payment, and can move to another jurisdiction for another job.

It sucks normal people get forced into plea bargains when innocent, and then cases like this end up the way they do. Our criminal justice system is so garbage it's almost infuriating.
