Yes, because people are not allowed to shoot home invaders here unless it's 100% the only way out. Even then I doubt you'd just go unpunished. Especially since it's difficult to legally have handguns and ammunition in your home, it usually has to be locked in a safe on a gun range. A group of home invaders had assaulted a 38 year old man in his home and threatened him with guns and knives. He stabbed one of them in the back and got charged with attempted murder.

Does spanking all children work? No
If it doesnt work, should you spank the child anyway? No.
Just because X load of children fall into the above 2 questions, does that mean no child at all should be spanked? No.
Are there an X load of children who were spanked reasonably and turned out just fine? Yes.
Should the adults who were spanked as a child be ignored? No.
For kids who do respond well to spanking...should you beat them like a used blanket, beat them for trivial bad acts, or hell beat them for giggles? Its sad that this needs to be clarified as a no at all. This should be common sense yet it must be said because the topic has turned into a yes or no thing to some.

I could go on and on as there are a mutiltude of arrays and angles to this topic. Its not a simple black or white topic. However skimming through this topic you have people turning to a study where children would not benefit from a spanking, but ignore real life of 1000s upon 1000s who were spanked and didnt need a doc for becoming some mental wreck.

TLDR: Im a millennial who was spanked. I believe spankings are ok if done in a reasonable manner. A manner that SHOULD be common sense but in this topic to some its apparantly not. No one should have to add a dosclaimer to a post that for example beating a child is bad. As for my children, I will be spanking them IF its appropriate. And once again when its appropriate should be common sense. Its not always black and white.

Topics like these are why I dont stick around to debate and leave once I lose interest and have something better to di. I know Im changing nobodies mind and I wasted my time.

The human mind is a very complex thing. Giving a study in this only helps to prove a narrative. Any studies suggesting the contrary within reason will only be ignored. I dont think spanking your child is bad. Just know if it actually works. What I mean there is not all kids actually learn from it and you need to figure out if your kid does or doesnt. Also theres a difference between beating your kid and spanking them.

My question would be why in gods name do people try to associate people who hate spanking children with millennials? Everyone I grew up around grew up with spankings. Im just finding it hard to believe most millennials were not spanked. If anything Ive noticed the spankings went down with people born 1996+. The first half of children my mother had she spanked us. The second half shes like a totally different mother. My younger siblings literally walks all over and my parents just take it. If I dared to call my mother a bitch to her face Id be on the floor. My younger sister however, I cringe at how disrespectful she is.

That much money was on the line where I worked as well. However I refused to get punked by threats from customers.
If I am going to give into a customers whining its going to be because I dont think its worth caring about atm or I feel like we the store is at fault. Throwing measly threats my way never fazed me though. I happily gaze the number to corporate to the people who wanted it and I never got in trouble.

Lmao my worst experience was someone demanding I unlock the pharmacy to get their prescription. I was the shift supervisor so of course all the cashiers directed the angry customers my way. They couldn't comprehend the fact that I didn't have keys to the pharmacy. They threatened legal action as well. She also threatened to break down the gate herself to get her prescription. I had to call a different CVS that had a 24 hour pharmacy and sent the customer there.

I had a similar experience. I just told the woman I dont plan to go to jail for you in so many words.
