I don't think I've ever been on a date with a girl that expected me to pay, but I usually offer to just because I guess it feels stereotypically manly. They would usually offer to pay or will pay no problem if I ask them to pay on later dates. I guess it's cause I avoid bitches and bitchy feminists. The women I know that absolutely expect a man to pay for everything are usually chronically single.

About two or three girls say: "You never made your intentions clear"

I work Sunday through Thursday, for holidays like this we get Sunday off but have to work Monday, but we get time and a half all day. I love it.

10 years ago was pretty bad. I was depressed, lonely, and suicidal, with no real plan in life. Now, I'm fit, pretty financially secure with a good job, and a great girlfriend. So, much better now.

RPGs, shooters, and sports are all about even for me.

I'd definitely say diet. A lot of people have zero clue about nutrition, and a lot of older generation grew up with the fat = ultimate evil mindset. A lot of people also have zero clue how much nutrition impacts obesity as well compared to just exercise. I used to know this one guy who would bike several miles to and from work everyday, then come home, literally consume an entire bag of Oreos (among other things) and had no clue why he wasn't losing weight. Quite a few people seem to have that mindset, of "oh, I just did physical thing for awhile, I can treat myself to 2000 calories of junk food now!" and get pissed that they're still fat.

3, I think. I had one in high school that I didn't like (got with her to take my mind off the girl I truly liked, but didn't work), my last ex-girlfriend was an idiot and that only lasted like 6 months, my current girlfriend I've been with for 4.5 years who is amazing.

I guess we're stating our age, too. I'm 32, I had a lot of women interested in me in my 20s but I had terrible confidence and social anxiety so never acted upon it correctly, finally worked on myself in my late 20s and found my ex and current girlfriend.

Besides Sarah Connor being a strong character, what exactly did she progress for women in Hollywood? Did she get more actresses and female-directors into the spotlight? Was there a sudden huge boon of female-led (and successful) action movies after Terminator 2? I'm not going to argue that she wasn't a great female character, but she didn't progress much if Hollywood kept the "women can't lead a big name movie" mentality for 20 more years. We've yet to see what Wonder Woman will accomplish in its wake so I can't comment on that.

Fuck no. The only advantage would be to not have such a vulnerable spot between your thighs. Can only sit down to pee, have to always wipe when you pee, menstruation and all the shit that comes with it, all the upkeep to keep it clean, having to eventually push a human being out of a tiny hole, fuck that noise.

I don't know if you can really compare two kids wrestling in their living room to actual trained pro athletes. And I also bet there's a significant minority of women that compare to NFL players in size. I pretty much never watch football, but I don't think there's many sub-6 foot and sub-150 lbs players in the game. There's some girls that play in elementary and high school, because there usually are smaller boys, but by the time you get to college and pro-level, they're all behemoths that would destroy a woman.

How are you comparing yourself to them?

If you're looking at people's "great" lives on Facebook/Instagram/whatever, just realize certain people will highlight their best and try to look happier than they really are. That awesome party pic where it looks like everyone was smiling and having an awesome time was taken in 2 seconds in that context and then they probably went back to just standing around being bored. In real life, some people also exaggerate their success. I know some guys who pretend to be rich, driving around fancy cars and doing cool shit, and then you learn they're thousands in debt and they have a shitty job.

It's easier said than done, but compare yourself only to yourself. You don't have to strive for instant success, but try to be a little bit better this year than you were last year. Make a little more money, save a little more money, read one or two more books, try out a new hobby, go to school again, try for a promotion or a raise, or switch to a better job, etc. When you see yourself improving, more people will be drawn to you and envy you instead of the other way around. You probably won't be a rich dude on a yacht sailing with 10 naked supermodels, but you'll be a happier and better person.

I keep debating on getting this game on PS4. I have it on my computer but I have to play it on my lowest settings, so it looks kind of shitty. It's a fun game but goddamn it pisses me off so much, I blew up this one alien's cover, had him flanked by 3 soldiers...and they all missed, and he flanked me on his turn and fucked me up. Kind of lost all desire to play after that.

Nah, I don't really care. I don't even know when it is.

I'm pretty much done with new gaming. These new systems are just a dick measuring contest to see who can create the game with best graphics. A shitload of us (not everybody, but enough people to generate profit) would sacrifice graphics for jrpgs, which practically don't exist anymore.

They act like the fans of the classic PS1/PS2 games just "grew out" of playing good games that are longer than 15 hours.

That's another point about these modern consoles. You have 30 minutes to kill and want to play your video game. By the time the mandatory, seemingly useless updates download, verify, install, and then forces your console to restart, you've got like five minutes to play your game.

Ps1/ps2 didn't have to update ever and they were still the best systems ever.

Yeah, on the PS1 you just had to wait out those 15 minute load times then you were good to go until you had to go fish out disc number 4 to keep playing.

Dark Souls games are much more tedious and try your patience than they are hard. They're good games but the "omg so hard" aspect is very overrated. I have a more satisfying and challenging experience playing other games on Hard or Very Hard than having to repeat 20 to 30 minutes of the same sections I've already beaten multiple times because I died in some cheap way.

It's my style of humor, and it's pretty creative with some serious and genuine moments as well. I like it but I'm not a superfan, it's fun to watch on occasion but I'm not obsessed.

Only once, but they let me go with a warning.

Good riddance, they were a shitty part of our history, they got their asses beat and they still cry about it. Don't care about the statues either, we can remember them in history books and that's it.

Damn, I was going to say this. The internet is amazing, and I couldn't imagine life without it anymore. I've learned so much just reading stuff on the internet, not to mention GPS, handy guides and videos to help you with pretty much anything in life, and communicating and playing with friends. I would have lost several friendships if not for the internet. Even social media isn't all bad, I've learned about a lot of events and cool things to do through friends that I would have never known about or done otherwise.

But yeah, it's one main negative is that morons have a much greater voice mostly through social media, blogs, and forums, and said morons can all get together and be an echo chamber for their dumb ideas. It also ruins a great many things just through sheer negativity about everything.

While you're not wrong at all that it shouldn't take long to write a book, it's kind of wrong to compare Clockwork Orange, a self-contained story reaching probably 300 to 400 pages at most (I don't remember), to the next installment of a book series that has hundreds of houses, names, events, various sub-plots and many more characters to follow in 1000+ page novels. I imagine that's the real reason it's so difficult to write.

Stephen King writes 1000+ page books but they're usually all self-contained stories, it took him like 30 years to finish the Dark Tower series.

Even in my loneliest, saddest, most virgin of times in my youth, I still would never stoop so low as to pay a ton of money to a cam whore.

I thought this would be the usual "old games have more content, new games lock everything behind DLC/paywalls" kind of topic. What games are you playing that require that much effort? The only time I have to update anything, on my Xbox One at least, is when actual new content has been added to the game (like Overwatch characters or events). Plus, if you go all digital, I have the vast majority of my games right there a click of a button away, ready to play instantly. And why the hell are you logging in to the network? That shit should be instant as soon as you boot up unless there are network issues.

I do agree on the storage thing, though, games require a ton of storage these days.

In elementary school I was a bully, I was pretty hurtful to some kids and now I feel some shame about it.

In high school and beyond, I've always been dead-center in the social ladder. Not cool or confident enough to be a bully, but cool and confident enough to not ever be picked on. I got along with everyone, the goths, the jocks, the nerds, the cheerleaders, the artistic girls, etc.

I've never heard of Stranger Things and SJW in the same sentence. What fucking mental gymnastics do you use to reach that? The only outrage I've heard about SJW content from Netflix is just "Dear White People" and some crappy Bill Nye episode. I haven't watched 13 Reasons Why but I'm pretty sure that's more dumbass pre-teen drama than SJW shit.

In my 15 years of driving, I always go 10 - 15 MPH over the speed limit. Never been pulled over. I've even done it in front of cops several times, sure that I was going to be stopped but they never bother or go after someone else going faster than me.

The only time I go exact speed limit is during late nights since I'm more isolated on the road and cops like to hide in the dark, or if a cop is trying to ride on my ass.

They're simple, wise words to live by. I don't like CoD, Kardashians, 99% of pop music, most liberal TV shows, etc. I don't give two shits if others like that stuff, and it hasn't affected me other than occasionally being explained who a certain Kardashian is by my girlfriend and I tune it out because I still don't care.

I don't understand why people pay so much attention to things they don't like. Not only is it a waste of energy, but you also give attention and influence to things you don't like. Yeah, that hate speech riled you up and now you have to comment every day on it, and now it's further exposed to more people and their influence grows through negative attention.

It's like the constant anti-feminism posters here who scour the Internet looking for the latest blog bashing men or white people, and instead of that blog whittling away into obscurity, it's now got millions of hits and views and exposure.

I don't really get the complaints about the run time, the first book, if I remember correctly, was less than 250 pages in length. Certainly less than 300 pages. It was a pretty short story.

But yeah, the movie doesn't look very promising. Just from seeing the trailer, it looks like a mess. I kind of like the overall idea of it but it's also kind of dumb because only fans that read the whole series until the end would understand it, and it looks like it's not trying very hard to appeal to the fans.

I almost always tip 20%, and only don't if the service is above and beyond god-awful. It's not the waiter's fault that restaurants don't pay them enough, and fucking them over isn't going to make the industry as a whole go "oh shit, we better pay our waiters more money because no one is tipping!". I just think it's stupid how people always want to make statements against businesses through the lowest people on the rung with absolutely no power to make any change.

I keep wanting to beat this game because at it's core, I do like it and it's fun to play, but both times I've tried to play it I have fun until I get to Voeld (or however it's spelled) and that's when they drop quest after quest after quest on you, and it's hard to even focus on just the main mission when you get constantly bombarded with "Hey Ryder, do this for me" every person you look at.

I really wish they'd give Mass Effect one more try, with a more focused story and less but higher quality sidequests.

Worked at some dog day care place for a couple months. The job itself wasn't horrible and I basically got paid to just sit down and pet dogs when they calmed down, but the owner was a complete psycho. First of all, she didn't train anyone how to do anything, I never even learned how to work the cash register system. She kept us severely understaffed (one day it was just me watching over 50 dogs in 4 separate play areas; luckily, most were older dogs who just wanted to lay around all day, and only a few crazy puppies), and she instantly fired anyone who made even the most minor offense. She fired one lady because she didn't hear the phone ring which was situated far away from the play areas where many barking dogs are. She fired another girl because she didn't clean the play areas correctly despite never being taught how to (using certain chemicals). One time she accepted aggressive boxers even though we weren't supposed to accept aggressive dogs, spent all day spraying them with water to "discipline" them, put them with her older dog who she figured would also "discipline" them, and they got into a fight with her dog and she fired a small girl because she didn't run and break up the fight that the owner caused quick enough.

She used to bring her dogs in too (she had like 7 of them), and one was a little puppy boxer. One day I was watching the dogs, and they were all done playing and pooped and just lying around, and she came in and absolutely FLIPPED because she thought the boxer was dead even though it was clear as day that it was just resting. I was so confused and she was throwing this hysterical, crying tantrum over nothing. Eventually, I got fired because I couldn't come in to work because my mother was in the hospital with a concussion, and I didn't even care because I was done with that place. This was all almost 10 years ago and yeah, she's somehow still in business there.

It's hard to tell exactly what the relationships are like from those pics, it sounds like a lot of them might have overly clingy girlfriends who won't ever leave them alone. I dunno, I can't really relate, I only spend significant time with my girlfriend on weekends because we both admit to needing time away from each other as much as with each other. If some chick constantly needed my attention all the time, I'd just bail on the relationship instead of making excuses to avoid her.

Generally, people who keep failing, and failing, and failing doing nothing but blaming others for why they fail instead of personally examining what they're doing that's causing failure are people everyone likes to avoid and distance themselves from.

Women do like nice guys. Women don't like "nice guys" that call women sluts, whores, and idiots behind their backs and advertise to everyone that they're a failure while feeling entitled to sex because they did the bare minimum expected in a relationship.

I don't feel like searching for the article but one tennis player had a good argument for it: the men typically play longer games and play longer seasons at a higher level. In the case of basketball, why should a chick playing 34 regular season games at 10 minutes a quarter get the same pay as a dude playing 82 regular season games and 12 minute quarters? Not to mention, the dude has a much higher skill level generally and brings in more merchandise sales, ticket sales, and provides better benefits to sponsors.
